Should I be concerned? It is painful to touch and to walk. ## What might have happened is that you injected it too fast and created a bolus of the solution under this skin. When this happens, there is too much to be absorbed at once and it sits in the tissue for awhile, which creates deep bruising, which could explain the soreness you're experiencing. By what means do people take this tablet illegally? Orally thru the nose or injection or even smoke? ## @Kim, With "R 029" being a 0.5 mg generic Alprazolam tablet, it's probably one of the most highly abused drugs on the market. People find many ways to abuse these types of medications, if not by all of the methods in which you already mentioned. I wont go into detail because I already know its being done by those who could care less about the dangerous consequences. If you have a loved one who's been misusing this medication I'd probably suggest some sort of supportive intervention to encourage them to take it as prescribed. But depending on how deep they are into their level of abuse, it may take a lot of patience; at which point, maybe their doctor could begin to...
