6 Topics Foundcan anyone clarify the difference between shelcal and gem cal? ## Some of the ingredients are different. Shelcal contains Calcium Carbonate and Vitamin D3. Gemcal contains:calcitriol 0.25 mcg, calcium carbonate 500 mg amd zinc 7.5 mg. So it is what they provide and their formulations, it depends on what your body needs and what your doctor recommends that you use. Which has your doctor recommended? ## Gemcal is alws better then the shelcal...cause it contains Calcitriol which is an active form of vit D3...n zinc which reduces the risk of osteoporosis. ## what are the side effects of Gemcal ## Thanks for your valuable advice. I have taken both Gemcal and Shelcal tablets.i have taken Gemcal at after dinner and Shelcal after breakfast.is it any harmful ## Hello, Ash! How are you? It would really be best to just take one of them. Some nutrients, such as calcium and vitamin D can cause problems if you take too much. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Suffefing from austioporasis from last 20 years taking terifrak in . ## Both are same. Don't worry. All Calcium tablets have got Vit D3 in different quantity. Use Calcium Citrate. It's Calcium is better absorbed. Available as AARACHITOL-O, THYROCAL D3, OSSOPAN MCM and CCM. Can also use Ostocalciam.

are there any side effect,if i take Gemcal ds instead of Gemcal d3 for the last 25 days in pregnancy(18 weeks).
