I am diabetic type2 . Since I was prescribed GalvusMet I am having problem of having irregular bowel movement. Passing hard stool several times in small quantity. I am taking a tablet of Galvus-Met 50/500 and Metride 1. These are very costly medicines and I am looking for some cheaper combination. Mydiabetese Type II is monitored as follows PP Blood 163.4 Fasting 96.63 Hb1AC 6.03 Pl advise. My mom is suffering with blood sugar since 2 year she is taking aurvedic medicine but nothing happen. Today I checked the result FBS=153 and pp=293. sir my mother has a diabities for last 5 years she is talking a medicine (dianorn m) for for few days her sugar will not in control i'll consult to the doctor they will give a medicine galvas met 50mg/500mg ....but this tablet will be very costally what will i do... ## Ask the doctor for a similar tablet that would cost less. Some NGOs also have diabetics care program's where they distribute medicines free of cost or at a subsidy. Most state governments have a senior citizen program and some pharmacies also give 10 % discount to senior citizens.

Galvus Met 50/500, I am taking before breakfast as prescribed by a physician since one year but One cardiologist suggests to have it after breakfast. My questions is when it should be taken before breakfast or after breakfast ? ## Normally, these types of medications are taken just before a meal, that way they have a chance to start working by the time you are actually digesting the meal and you would experience the greatest blood sugar elevations. What instructions has the prescribing doctor given you? If they are the one treating your diabetes, then they are the one's whose instructions you should follow.

I have Diabetes 2. I am also an epileptic and take Tegrotol CR 400 mg three times a day as well as Sedabarb 30 mg three times a day. I have been on Tegrotol and the equavalent of sedabarb since 1969. Dosages have just changed as needed. I am now also on Galvus Met 50/1000 for plus minus 3 years. The side effects I am now showing is: The shin, in the fold of my leg, my whole back and arms are itchy. On my back I have small sores as I am scratching. The itching is rediculous. My ankles and feet are puffy and uncomfortable. Hello, My doctor prescribed me Zomelis Met 50mg/500mg (Vildagliptin 50mg & Metformin 500mg) for my diabetes. The same doctor prescribed Galvus 50mg/500mg to my mother and the same doctor prescribed Glycomet to my wife. I am very confused about all three medicines. Can u please confirm the differences between Vildagliptin and these other medications mentioned above?

Diabetic since 2002. Below is the medicine I started using from Jan 2009 to date. My sugar levels are under control even though I'm not following proper diet and exercise. 1. Galvas 50/800 - Afternoon 2. Trivolib 1mg - morning and night 3. Polytrova Kit 2.5mg - night Recently I experienced skin itching and neglected it because of the winter season. But after going through the side effects of the medicine I found that this is a one of the side effects. Now I also had the following symptoms: 1. knee pain 2. itching 3. Gas 4. B12 deficiancy along with Vitamin D and Iron. I am supposed to meet my Doctor for advice. However please let us know your suggestion as well.
