Have been on Xanax for yrs and cannot find anymore since I moved from SC to FL....pls help!!!! I have panic attacks....can't just go off this medication cold turkey?!?! ## If you suffer from anxiety and need a Benzodiazepine class medication (like Xanax), usually your best bet is to see a psychiatrist, rather than a regular medical doctor. Reason being is that they are better trained in the types of medications that handle these problems as well as having a better understanding of how to cope with situations in the event that you don't have your medication on hand. Many general physicians are also reluctant to prescribe controlled substances due to abuse and the heavy regulations that they have to abide by from the government. If it's of any help, linked below is a list of p...

I am in the process of looking for a New pain management Dr in the Gainesville, FL area that takes Avmed insurance and one that takes Prestige medicaid for my Mom. We had both been seeing same Dr for past 2 yrs and although I didn't like his obnoxious know it all attitude when you came prepared by doing your own research on your medical issues or new medication and in my case anything to help for my myofascial pain, he cuts everything down. But most recently he retaliated against my elderly Mom after we had all 3 decided on a plan of care. Then after a disagreement on a paper I brought in that would not harm my body if it failed or worked (all natural approach) he pulled two of my mom's meds and changed one. Wasn't even man enough to bring the scripts to her and tell her. Unles

I have been taking subutex for 2 years now and was denied xanax by 2 diffetent doctors because I am on the subutex. Can doctors prescribe you xanax while on subutex? I have a new doctor I'm going to try out next week but don't know if I should tell him whether I'm on the subutex or not,, even if I don't tell them I'm worried about whether they'd be able to see it in the computer or not. Please respond asap anything will help. ## Hello, Taylor! How are you? It can be prescribed, while you're on the Subutex, but most doctors are going to be reluctant to prescribe it, because it is also carries the risk of being addictive. Another issue is, if you're asking for such a medication, doctors are taught to view that as being drug seeking behavior. And yes, they w...

On June 28th, my fiance and I had gotten into a car accident where some kid T-boned us going across a divided highway. Every since the accident, I've had a headache on both sides only centralized in my temple regions. I've had an MRI of my head and neck, CT scan, and a X-Ray of my neck. They found nothing. I've went to a family Dr. and the last thing he prescribed before referring me to a neurologist was Fioricet and Hydro 10/325 but only wrote me a 10 day script. They worked like a charm. For those 10 days, I didn't notice a headache at all. Went to a neurologist after, and said I had post-concussion headaches and put me on Amitriptyline, Topiramate, and Prednisone. After the 2nd day I had to stop taking them as it made my headaches even more unbearable. Last place I we...

I have been seeing a doctor that refuses to prescribe my Percocet. I have recent MRI films that show disc degeneration, spurs, disc bulging and I have lost all of the curve in my neck. I have been on total disability since 2005.Since she substituted them with Tramadol and Soma muscle relaxants, I have been in so much pain that I cannot stand or walk for any period of time. I can only lay propped with pillows. Since this, I have gained around 80+ pounds in a little over a years time! I am miserable! Please help! ## I know of a dr that will give you the Percocet you are needing in Ocala. His name is Dr. Zhou and he is in the Florida Pain Management and Rehabilitation Clinic. Not sure of exact address or phone number but l would just Google Dr. Zhou. He had an office in Gainesville before ...

I am new to the Gainesville/Denton, Texas area and need to find a doctor to prescribe these meds. I'm in my 30's but look very young so I'm never taken seriously. If I don't find a Dr soon I'll be out of meds and dont want to send medical records cos of my last doctor finding pot on my system. ## You are in Florida. Must have been much easier when the Pain Stores were all over Florida, need an OXY find a Strip Mall, need a Xanax, go to the pill store. Without new current medical records you are not going to get these meds on demand, although stay looking young my friend! ## Oh crap Texas, well the basic answer is the same, just a different State and no Pill Mills ## Supposedly doctors aren't allowed to prescribe Xanax if you are on Norco. Anyone out there having ...
