My prescription was from two years ago. Now I have the same nerve pain in my upper arm and I have some 100 mg capsules left over. Do not want to see doctor for the same thing. Can I take the capsules now? ## Update: I am having good results from the Gabapentin. ## Hello, Shirley! How are you? I'm glad to see that the medication is working for you. Dry product medications, such as tablets, or capsules with powder, do not go bad once expired, but they may lose some efficacy with time. What is the expiration date of these pills? ## From what I could gather, the shelf-life of Gabapentin (Neurontin) is about 2-3 years according to the link below: medicines.org.uk/emc/medicine/17095#SHELF_LIFE I've also read studies saying that the expiration date of most pills is actually 10-15 years, but I would think that potency may be lost in that time frame. I hope this helps!

I need the Lot # for the medication described above. It was purchased at Wal-Mart in Elk City, OK 20221. E 1110 County RD 73644. Org. Rx 11/25/2013. There is a small # on the very right side of the bottle. It is located right under the second to last digit of the store's telephone #. It is 10-0134. Rx*6753695 KRK I believe are the initials of the person that filled the prescription. I KNOW that this medication did NOT meet requirements and that they don't maintain shelf life. They are having a Drug Recall on this medication. I know that the product DID NOT meet the drug release dissolution specifications. The FDA has classified this recall as a "Class II" event. *Could cause "temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences." SERIOUS RISK. So far I...
