I took gabapentin for about a month, 300mg 3 or 4 times a day, i have stopped taking it, cold turkey, and its been a week, only withdrawl i have is dizziness/ fuzzy vision during the day, no other withdrawl symptoms anymore. ## Hi Ryan, I appreciate you sharing your feedback on Gabapentin, as from what I've seen around the forum, many patients do tend to experience at least some amount of withdrawal upon going cold turkey... It's not from the Zoloft. Your having gabapentin WD's and symptoms of interdose withdrawals IDK ## Hi! I am not sure who you were responding to, but in the future to make a response to someone's post, you can use the reply button directly under their post, so they will receive notification of your response. As to withdrawals, a person can experience them if they abruptly stop any medication that they've been taking for a long period of time. Thus, both Zoloft and Gabapentin can cause withdrawal issues, including the risk of seizures, which may be dangerous, as reported by the FDA. Other withdrawal effects may include dizziness, headache, irritability, mood swings, rebound depression, anxiety, insomnia and diarrhea. Is there anything I can help with?

The doctor put me on Gabapentin 300MG Cap for numbness at the bottom of my feet and I'm having trouble with this as my body aches with dizziness, blurred vision and all the rest of them, I would like to know how long would it take for Gabapintin to be out of my system once I stop taking it.... I'm just wondering the difference between the two, because when I was prescribed them I was given the 636 green ones, they worked fine for me no more headaches nothing, now they have given me the g31s and I'm sick again headaches, dizziness, you name it. I have been on gabapentin for about 2 weeks. First 3 days i was a zombie, didnt even kno where i was. It was crazy. After that, i felt nothing weird. My husband takes 2700 mg a day. Since his dose has been upped that high he has been experiencing severe shaking and tremors. His heart races and his muscles twitch as well. You can visibly see his body shaking. It is a constant state, not something that comes and goes. His doctor has yet to return his phone call. My prescription says take 3 capsules by mouth daily as needed for nerve pain. Should I take all three at once or space them out thru the day? Is it ok to drink wine while taking this medication? ## No. Alcohol will only add to the rapid heart beat associated with this drug, and shortness of breath and general feelings of discomfort will follow. Gabapentin is useful in small doses for peripheral neuropathies and certain epilepsies, but side effects abound ~ many of which are life threatening. ## I'm not sure what Jim means by many of them being life threatening.
