Gabapentin A Pain Pill D 24

I have been taking Gabapentin 600 mg, 4x per day for a total dosage of 2400 mg per day to help keep the nerve endings on my bladder calm for the past two years. I have IC [interstitial cystitis]. I'm noticing now that I'm having great difficulty with my memory and just simply recalling words to use in conversation. I'm also having right, low back pain extending into the hip, thigh and lower leg with leg pain when sleeping. This pain is making it difficult for me to walk or sit upright. I stay extremely fatigued. I'm 42 and my uro took me out of work in Oct of 2011 and I don't see myself returning to work. I just wonder if the Gabapentin is helping or worsening my condition [since IC can lead to the above complaints] and if anyone else is having any similar problems. ...

Will gabapentin work for a severe toothache? I have gabapentin and it says it's for nerve pain but it doesn't list tooth pain. I know I have an exposed nerve. The pain is excruciating. Could I be rebounding from Gabapentin withdrawal or fibro pain getting worse? I was prescribed Lyrica because the pain has just gotten worse and worse with Gabapentin, and am now tapering off of Gabapentin. I've been on it 22 months. Was up to 2400 mg last fall, but the first of this year I tapered down to 1800 and have been at 1500 to 1800 a day since. My doctor told me to taper 300 mg every 2 days. I think that is probably too fast. I am now down to 900 (as of last night). My pain is even worse and I wonder if part of the pain is rebound effect. A few days before I saw my doctor my pain suddenly got much worse. But now it is even worse yet. Is it safe to take 2 10mg hydrocodones every 3 hours? I am 24 and I am scheduled to have a total hip replacement on the 18th. For the past two days I have been taking 2 hydrocodones, 1 gabapentin, and 1 robaxin every 3-4 hours to keep my pain under control so I don't end up in the er like I did on Wednesday. If you're taking Norco/Vicodin that also has Acetaminophen in it, then it is dangerous to take that many in a 24 hour period. You can't exceed 3,000mgs of Acetaminophen per day. My aunt gave my mother some pills saying they were Provigil and then later called and said they weren't and has no idea what they were. My mother took them and we can't find out what they are. I found this pill in my daughter's suitcase while visiting and nothing is on the label. Please help me. right now i am on a coctail of 2400 MG of Gabapentin a day as well i take supuedol right now for my back pain witch is forever... I was taking 10 Mg of oxycodone IR, i find the supuedol is not at all an IR pill, i can feel when it begins to work, my oxy IR pills wich cost less than the Supuedols,the supuedol can take 2 hrs before any form of relief,as well when i took the oxycodone IR the pill was working in 15 minutes, pls Health Canada, what is going on with these crappy pills, coming here from India,? why does Canada allow any meds in when we can make and distribute our own , in Canada.. please help !! today my husband got his perscription of Gabapentin 800 Mg, kinda creepy when it is an oval pill with no scoring on it, as well a light black tiny print of a G2 on one side,pill not score

I have RSD in both feet and after bladder lift surgery, have all symptoms of RSD in pelvic area. Am taking 6, 15mg morphin and 6 , 10/325 percocett a day plus I have an implanted pain pump with dilaudin in it and I have severe pain 24 hrs a day. Any suggestions to maybe a different type medicine or anything would be appreciated. I also take 4 , 1mg xnax a day and yes I can function. I have beeen taking this for 5 yrs and it does not touch my pain. I have about had it. ## Has your doctor had you try any of the anticonvulsants that have been shown to help with certain types of nerve pain, such as Gabapentin? Or Pregabalin? Many people have gotten very good results with them, so you may want to discuss that with your doctor. What else have you tried?

I have had two surgeries on my knee. The last surgery had left me with nerve pain in my knee that runs up and down my leg. I have gone to too many doctors to count and have tried everything they have prescribed for me (from stretching to acupuncture to taking Gabapentin and thing like it) but nothing helps except 10mg oxycodone. The pain is horrible and sometimes the pain will last for weeks. I can't concentrate in school or even sleep. The only thing that has helped is the oxycodone but I'm 24 years old and no doctor want to prescribe it to me because they think I'm to young. Does anyone know if a doctor in San bernardino area that will help me?? Im suffering from slip disc & right knee pain. Recently Doctor has prescribed GABAPENTIN 300mg pill one per day to be taken only at night. Two hours after taking, I felt very dizzy, drowsy & nausea an it continues for the next 24 hours. Feel very sleepy and cant concentrate on my work. Should I continue or stop? I’m a 72 year old who has been on 60mg Cymbalta plus 300-2400 mg gabapentin as needed for 4 years for neuropathic pain. The combination has been effective in lowering the baseline of my pain. During this time, however, I have gained a great deal of weight. Recently I’ve had aching and sometimes sharp pain near my liver. This is very concerning for me. I have also experienced blunted emotions during my entire time on these meds. Prior to starting this combo, I never experienced any mood disorder problems. I have been diagnosed with degenerative disc disease in my neck, severe end stage arthritis in my right elbow and chronic ulner nerve pain in my right hand, I am on 240 mg of morphine and 2700mg of gabapentin a day, my problem is the sleepiness It causes me, I can hardly function on these meds which also cause me to sweat profusely causing me to change my clothes 2 or more times a day, what can I do to reduce the drowsiness? ## Hello, Del!
