Just wondering if it's safe to mix Hydrocodone 10mg + Gabapentin 600mg + Latuda 20mg? I'm concerned about my health. ## According to the University of Maryland Medical Center (umm.edu / drug interaction tool), taking Hydrocodone and Latuda (Lurasidone) together may increase your risk of certain side effects, such as a loss of balance or dizziness, slurred speech, confusion, changes in mental awareness & slow or shallow breathing. They go on to note that in some cases where both medications are required, your doctor may adjust the dosage and/or frequency of dosing in order to mitigate these risk factors. I hope this info helps and wish you good health!

I have been taking Gabapentin 600mg. in a light green oval tablet for 6 mo. for neuro pain. Each morning with no side effects. Since Iv been taking it 1 week I feel bad. Im weak, poor balance, sleep around the clock, and cant remember common words. Any idea would really help.Thank you. ## Hello, Ann! How are you feeling? Sorry about the problem that you're having. There is a chance that it's due to side effects from the medication, or these symptoms could be entirely unrelated. Does this pill have a Gluten filler in it? ## Hello, Patricia! How are you? One of the fillers in this capsule is corn starch and, as you may be aware, it is usually processed in facilities that also process wheat products, so much of it is contaminated with gluten. That means that yes, there is a possibility that there may be some in this. Are you having a problem with it? Some type of reaction? ## Hi I don't know but I took 2 pills that totaled 600mg of gabapentin and one 40 ext- release of omeprazole . I've been prescribed 10mg targin with 600mg of Gabapentin , can I take a Vicodin a couple of hrs later to help relieve nerve pain ... I don't want to overdose .. ## Hello, Nina! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. You should stick with one or the other, since both Targin and Vicodin contain Acetaminophen, taking too much of it daily, or in any 8 hour period could result in overdose toxicity, which may be fatal. I could also be dangerous to double up on the narcotics, as well. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I am on 600mgs gabapentin 3 times daily. It has caused weight gain and due to the short duration of action I have to dose three separate times. I wanted to know if pregabalin might be better for me. I take gabbys for anxiety and mood disorder. I have heard pregabalin is more efficient and effective. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks. ## There's no way to say which one is more efficient and effective for any given person that tries it, since we are all different. What works well for one person may not work for another, and vice versa. As reported by the FDA, they both carry the risk of causing similar side effects, which aside from the weight gain, may also include nausea, dizziness, headache, and mood swings. Have you discussed the issues with your doctor?

My husband is prescribed gabapentin. He has been taking it for about four years now. He first took it while in rehab to overcome opiate addiction. He can take ten 600mg tablets at once and go about his day. When he runs out he buys it through other means. When he can't find it, he takes opiates. I am an extreme enabler and I give him money every week. He lies and steals and pawns things to support his habit. I need help. I don't know what to do. He wants help but doesn't want to go to rehab. How can I help him and save our family? ## Sara, that's tough to hear. You pretty much described me. My wife took our 3 kids and stayed with her parents for a week. I was just prescribed some Gabapentin 600mg after being on the 300m for about 2 months. the later did nothing for the pain in my foot which the doctor says is nerve damage from being frost bitten a long time ago. I have been reading on this website that this drug takes a long time to take effect something like 8 months to a year, and that it is not habit forming. I have been taking way too much gabapentin for several years now. I started taking it to help alleviate withdrawal symptoms from suboxone. Then I started taking more and more and found out that stopping gabapentin has its own terrible withdrawal. I take about twenty 600mg gabapentin pills a day. More or less depending on how much I have. When I run out the withdrawal is pretty bad but what's worse is that it lasts way too long. It takes at least the days to get through the worst of it. I could just really use some help. Does suboxone help alleviate gabapentin/lyrica withdrawal symptoms? ## A slow taper is usually the best and safest way to stop, since an abrupt withdrawal could create the risk of seizures, according to the FDA, along with nausea, fever, chills, anxiety, rebound pain...
