I have been taking gabapentin 300mg as an orange capsule. New script filled with small yellow and white capsule with APO on yellow and 113 on white. Is this also 300mg gabapentin? ## Yes, same drug, just manufactured by a different company. When a drug is available for generic production, it will be made by many different companies and since the way the medication looks is entirely up to the whit and whim of the manufacturer, they will all look different.

I'm trying to buy GabaMax - Neuroscience, but can't find it. I would like to know if it is discontinued and if so, why??? ## I'm sorry, but I don't have any information for you. Since this is an over the counter supplement, they are not required to inform anyone, including the FDA, if they choose to stop manufacturing and selling it. I tried to find a website, or some type of information for you to contact the company, but I can't find anything on that, either. Have you tried asking your pharmacist to help you find a comparable product?

Hello, Three years ago I suffered from Bell's Palsy on the left side of my face. Actually at that time I also suffered from an emotional setback. I recovered from the Bell's Palsy but since then I have felt pain on the left side of my face. After that the pain has spread to my whole body. I feel a burning sensation, pain in my nerves and some times vibrations in my nerves. I think I'm suffering from neuralgia. Now for 2 months I have started having feeling tightness in my arm and leg, mostly on the left side but sometimes on the right side too. I underwent an MRI of the spinal cord. In the report, there was a mild diffuse disc bulge with Osteophytes seen at the C5-6 and C6-7 levels causing mild thermal sac and spinal cord indentation with mild narrowing of bilateral neural f...

I am taking Gabasafe plus (Pregabalin, mecbalain & alpha lipoic acid) capsuls fo the last 4 days for ear pain. Now I have got back-pain. Is it because of Gabasafe plus? ## It is doubtful that this would cause you to be in pain. However, it's also not actually an analgesic, so it isn't going to help with ear pain. The drug ingredient in this is Pregabalin, which is an anticonvulsant that's also been shown to help with some types of nerve pain and mood disorders, because of the way it acts on brain chemicals, but even for those uses, it takes about 4 to 6 weeks to reach its full effect in the body and start helping. Learn more Pregabalin details here. So, it's not a regular analgesic to treat pain immediately after taking it. Have you consulted a doctor? If you have an...

I have shingles and was given this cream. I complained about the nerve pain in my back and side but on the bottle it says to put on the lesions. That's not what is hurting me. Should I send it back (it's unopened) or try to rub where I'm hurting so much? ## Hello, Katruna! How are you? Yes, this would be specifically to treat the lesions, since it has the antiviral Acyclovir in it. The other two ingredients are Lidocaine and Gabapentin to help with pain. Its typical side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include skin redness, dryness, itching and irritation. It would be best to check with your doctor, before using it on other areas.

Is it ok to take 750mgs of GABA & 7.5mgs of Meloxicam together at nite after a meal? I was diagnosed with neuropathy in my feet as well as osteoarthritis. ## I'm sorry, but I have to ask, if you mean the supplement GABA, or the medication Gabapentin? Gabapentin is an anticonvulsant that is also used to treat some mood disorders, and certain types of nerve pain. It's side effects are listed by the FDA as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and mood swings. Can you please post back and clarify? Meloxicam is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that is used to treat pain, fever, and swelling. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, and stomach irritation.

Does the cream actually go through your bloodstream? I have taken Gabapentin in the past which started out okay for a while, but then I had an issue with it & went off the pill form of the medication. I was told since it doesn't go through your bloodstream that the cream should be fine. Please let me know what you think and also if you know whether it's true about it not going into your bloodstream and causing any of the same side effects as the pill form. Thank you. ## Hello, Diane! How are you? A little does, but just trace amounts, not any significant amount that should cause side effects or reactions. Most of the reactions to these topical creams are limited to skin irritation wherever you applied it. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thank you, that helped me q...

It's not from the Zoloft. Your having gabapentin WD's and symptoms of interdose withdrawals IDK ## Hi! I am not sure who you were responding to, but in the future to make a response to someone's post, you can use the reply button directly under their post, so they will receive notification of your response. As to withdrawals, a person can experience them if they abruptly stop any medication that they've been taking for a long period of time. Thus, both Zoloft and Gabapentin can cause withdrawal issues, including the risk of seizures, which may be dangerous, as reported by the FDA. Other withdrawal effects may include dizziness, headache, irritability, mood swings, rebound depression, anxiety, insomnia and diarrhea. Is there anything I can help with?
