I found some of these in a baggie, are they used for recreation or do they have any kind of effect that would make someone take them that do not have the prescription ## Neurotion is not a recreactional drug. It is used primarily for Seizures but has alternate uses. It will not produce a high of any kind. ## Then I do not understand why would they be kept in a baggie next to other stuff ## Neurontin gives no effects of getting high. It is also prescribed for chronic pain. I don't know all the details but if it is a teen and they thought the pills were for pain they might be thinking that the pills are in the opiate category to get high which is a total misconception. This drug can be dangerous if not used correctly. I personally took it for pain and found no relief so my Dr. kept in...

Hello. I'm very new to this drug, only 7 days.I am a diabetic with bi-polar/anxiety. I was recently put on Gabapentin 300mg. 1 pill for 4 days and then told to take 1 pill 2 times a day after. I have been experiencing some normal side effects such as sleepiness, a little anxiety (it hits me for about an hour and then goes away completely) and a little bit of a loopy feeling. I did not realize I was past the 4 days and had only been taking one pill (my memory has been terrible the past few days), so I was going to start taking the 2 pills yesterday (Feb 20th). I forgot the 2nd dosage on the 20th and did not realize it until the 21st after I started feeling a crazy rapid heartbeat, severe anxiety (i wrestled with it for about 4 hours before calming down), as well as dizziness and the ...

My pharmacy has recently stopped carrying Actavis generic Neurontin 100 mg. They also said they "could not order Actavis for me". So, I ended up purchasing the Brand Neurontin. My insurance picked up some but it was still $$$. Now that I've tried the brand it seems to work better at neuropathic pain control. Just wondering in May 2015 if anyone in the USA has found a generic Neurontin that they really like or works for them? I live in a small area with very few pharmacy options other than 2 big box chains. The monopoly works to their advantage as they rarely ever will 'order' any generic a person asks for. You tend to have to take whatever they are pushing that month. Picking up a script is like playing "musical chairs", every month or two a pill is a differe...

gabapentin in a red capsule looks somewhat like a Keflex and also Neurontin in a yellow capsule enscribed Neurontin 300 I need the active ingredients ## Gabapentin is the active ingredient, it is the generic for Neurontin. ## I have taken gabapentin for about 18 or 20 months now. I took the orange capsule. When my pharmacist refilled it this time the yellow capsule was substituted. Two days after beginning the yellow capsule the muscles in my legs started hurting as they were doing before I started taking the medication. The neuropathy is causing my legs and feet to hurt. Long story short - the orange capsule worked, but the yellow has caused my old symptoms to return. My pharmicist with whom I talked was flippant and was not interested in helping me at all. ## Can I find an alternative...

For various reasons I suffer from Spinal Stenosis, Herniated Disc in Cervical area of spine, also suffered a broken tailbone. I suffer from terrible nerve pain in my pelvic area, neck, down my legs and spine. My dr. has recently put me on 50mg fentayl patch. I also take Gabapintin. These still are only controling about 59% of my pain and if I do something to aggravate my injuries I sometimes get screaming pain. A friend recommended Methadone in conjunction with what I'm taking. I have taken Oxycontin, Oxycodone in high doses so my tolerance is very high. Can anyone tell me if adding Methodone to my other meds would help and if it could be risky--as far as overdosing etc..? ## I doubt that Methadone will help you, since the Fentanyl that you are already using is far stronger than Met...

I have diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis. I also have bursitis in my hips. Which is better to control the pain and which has less side effects - (Epleptin 300mg three times a day or Neurontin 300 mg)? ## All medications carry the risk of causing side effects, and there is no way to say which one will be the best to help any given person, since we are all different. However, regarding these two medications, both of them contain the same active ingredient, which is Gabapentin, so there is really no difference between them. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, headache, dry mouth, dizziness, mood changes, and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?

if i take 1 pill how long will it take to get out of my system if i have restless or mania effects ## Gabapentin's (Neurontin) elimination half-life is 5 to 7 hours. From what I've heard, most medical experts agree that it can take roughly 5 half lives for a drug to be completely out of your system. For Gabapentin, this can mean that it may remain in your system for up to or around 35 hours after your last dose, which is relatively short compared to many other drugs. Gabapentin's most common side effects in adult patients include dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue, weight gain, and peripheral edema (swelling of extremities); these mainly occur at higher doses, in the elderly. Other side effects such as insomnia, restlessness, agitation, anxiety, disorientation, confusion, light s...

My doctor has me on 600 mg Neurontin a day, plus 150mg of Lyrica a day, plus 100mg of Savella a day... I am always fog brained, drunk feeling, tired, nauseated. I have been on this combination for atleast three years now. I am however just now finding out that, lyrica and Neurontin are the same medication, and that savella is just like lyrica. I'm confused on this, I need to know if I'm being overdosed??? ## Hello, Kyleigh! How are you? I would call it being overdosed, but it does sound like it is too much for you. Are there any other drugs that can be substituted for neurontin for neuropathy? ## Have been taking Lyrica for 3 years for perifiral (sp?) neuropathy. Would like to get off this med and try one of the neuropathy formulas I've been reading about on-line. However, I think I have to get off Lyrica slowly - not all at once. I guess it wouldn't be safe to take the supplement while still taking 2 Lyrica daily???? ## Gabapentin works wonders for me. It is generic for neurotoxin. ## I have been taking Gabapentin for 6 years for back pain. I am concerned about the memory loss I have been experiencing and would like to find a substitute. ## Unfortunately, the other medication in this class, Pregabalin, can also cause the same side effects, including being forgetful, along with nausea, diz...

Could you tell me all of the ingredients, including all supplements, that are found in the medication known as Neurontin. I had a terrible reaction to Neurontin 8 years ago, when I was prescribed Neurontin for muscle spasms that I suffered in my legs, from a back Injury. I now have neuropathy from that back injury and nerve damage. I am interested in trying Nerve Renew, and another supplement, but I want to make sure there are no ingredients found in the products that are found in Neurontin? I do not want to end up in the hospital again. ## Hi Ron, Neurontin is actually the generic name for Gabapentin. The only other types of ingredients outside of this are binders/fillers that vary depending upon which manufacturer's version you're taking. If you happen to have a Neurontin tabl...
