are you all changing this strength of loratab to something else. if so what is the 10-500mg being changed to. what is the strongest mg of loratab that you guys have now? ## Hello Frances! How are you? This website does not manufacture, prescribe nor sell any medications, it is an information only website. And in respect to that, I can provide you with the information you need… From now on, the maximum strength available will contain 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The U.S. FDA felt that there were far too many risks associated with the higher amounts of Acetaminophen. Is there anything else I can help with?

My husband takes the Hydrocodone/Apap 5-500MG Tablet by Mallinckrodt. When we went to a different drug store, they gave us Hydrocodone/Apap 10-325. The drug store says it's the same as Hydrocodone/Apap 5-500MG. This can't be true? ## Well, no, obviously not, this is clearly a different dosage of the medication. The first tablet he was receiving contained 5mgs of the narcotic Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen. The new one contains 10mgs of the Hydrocodone and only 325mgs of Acetaminophen, so it is completely different and not equivalent at all. The higher dose of the narcotic could cause more severe side effects, such as: drowsiness, nausea, dizziness and constipation. In addition, it could cause him to build a tolerance or addiction faster, and when he does get the other p...

need to know by sight what is the difference between 325mg and 500mg vicodin ## I'm sorry, but you haven't provided enough information for me to answer your question. Vicodin is a combination medication that contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, it is available as the name brands Vicodin, Lortab and Norco, as well as being available as a generic. Thus, there are far too many tablets on the market for me to be able to list them all for you. Additionally, you only posted the dosage of the Acetaminophen in them and not the relevant dosage of the Hydrocodone and there are several different dosages of it available, as well. Learn more Vicodin details here. Can you please post back with more specific details? If so, then I can look up the pill descriptions and markings for you. Than...

what is the difference between Norco 10 325mg Vs Loratab 500mg.? ## They both are different name brands for a combination medication that contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, but the dosages can be different. You didn't mention the dose of Hydrocodone in the Lortab, but the 325 and 500 would refer to the milligrams of Acetaminophen that are in them, it helps the narcotic to work better. Is there anything else I can help with?

did they quite making hydrocod/apap10-500mg tab because they are not the same that they give me now they are call Norco 10-325mg tab and the ones I was taken was lortab what the differ in them please help me to no all about this the 10-500 help my back so much and now the don't help as much why. ## Hello, Jeannie! How are you? Yes, as of the first of the year, they are only available with a maximum of 325mgs of Acetaminophen per dose, just like the new one you are taking. The Acetaminophen tends to augment the action of the narcotic, that's why the new one doesn't seem to work as well for you. However, your body should adjust after a week or two. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, d...

I took a 7.5 Watson 3203 and a 500mg Tylenol. Will I be okay? Took it for tooth pain. I have an abscess tooth. ## Hello, Lisa! How are you? Did you experience any adverse effects? While doing so just once isn't likely to cause severe issues, it is always best to consult your doctor to be sure. The Hydrocodone tablet you took contains 325mgs of Acetaminophen, so it is never a good idea to add more Acetaminophen (Tylenol) to the mix. Taking too much in any 8 hour period risks causing liver damage or liver failure. Have you consulted your dentist for assistance? ## You can verify this information through the FDA and NIH, they recommend no more than 1,000mgs per 8 hours, and no more than 3,000mgs per 24 hour period. Are you on any other medications? ## Can I take Hydrocodone/Acetaminoph...

They do, however, warn that it carried the risk of being habit forming, and may cause other side effects, such as dizziness, headache, constipation, dry mouth, and nausea. It's hard to swallow liquids as it seems my esophagus is swollen. What could be causing it? Any of my medications? ## Does it just seem like it's swollen, or has it been confirmed by a medical professional? Many medications can cause it, according to FDA reports, but it is hard to say just from this vague post. Have you ever been diagnosed with acid reflux? That is also a possible cause. If it comes down to a medication, I think Methocarbamol would be the primary suspect, since it is a muscle relaxant and muscles help us swallow... however, there is also the possibility of an allergy.

How are you? Yes, it is true. Due to the risk of liver damage or failure that can be associated with long-term use of high amounts, as well as the risk of overdose, the FDA requested that all combination prescription products that contain Acetaminophen be lowered to contain no more than 325mgs per dose.
