For What Medicine Aspirin

During the late 30's thru the 50's Drug stores sold a medication for pain that was a Red liquid called Red Aspirin. My hometown Roanoke Rapids, NC is the only place I have ever seen this medicine. I have asked other Druggist about this and they had never heard of Red Aspirin. Any ideas? I started taking 1/2 of 500 mg metforim & 325 mg aspirin now my blood seems it's thicker & barely bleeds it starts clotting. When took 81 mg aspirin it starting bleeding & run. ## Hello, Susie! I bought at Costco Myrtle Beach Aspirin 81mg... I would like to know if they are like Baby aspirin. Thank you for answering me. ## Regular Aspirin differs from Baby Aspirin, in that Baby Aspirin is about 25% of the standard 325mg dose. Baby Aspirin generally comes in the 81mg dose with artificial flavoring (and may be in a chewable form). The low 81mg dose can also be purchased for the adult (regular) Aspirin pills as well; but isn't a chewable. It is really a matter of preference when it comes to deciding between the two. I have a blood pressure of 150/100 2 months ago and the doctor prescribed me Aspirin 80mg as my daily maintenance to be taken once a day but the pharmacy gave me Aspirin Aspilet instead. It is Aspirin Enteric Coated; It works by reducing substances in the body that cause pain, fever, and inflammation. Correct me if I'm wrong but It doesn't seem any different than a normal Aspirin tab with a higher dose of 325 mg rather than the more common 81 mg. Is it OK to take Oxa B and Aspirin together? The reason for the Aspirin is for thinning the blood after a stroke. The Oxa B is for severe hip pain. ## Has your doctor instructed you take the Oxa B with the Aspirin? Both of them can cause blood thinning, according to the NIH, which creates and increased risk of bleeding, other side effects may include stomach irritation, liver damage, or liver failure. Taking them together could be dangerous, given your medical condition.

I suffered a similar problem when I was on narcotic pain management. Aspirin can also increase the risk of gastro-intestinal bleeding. I am concerned because aspirin is constantly touted for chest pain, especially to be taken before getting to the ER. I am horribly allergic to aspirin, disprin, toradol , Advil and other painkillers except PAnadol. So, what should be taken instead in the event of chest discomfort? ## I take 180mg verapamil daily. My problem is that until recently the color of the pill I was taking was a light coral. Recently the pharmacy where I was getting the pills told me the coral color was no longer available.
