I have taken accutane when I was 26, 36 and 41. I'm now 48 and thinking of taking it again as the oil on my face has come back worst than when I was in my 20's. I now have enlarged oil glands that have come to the surface so now instead of having pimples I have bumps that almost look like little warts on my face. Freezing them doesn't do anything. I've scraped a couple off with my fingernail but they come right back. Accutane will take care of them but at my age I'm not sure about taking it for a 4th time. Does Gleevec work for acute eczema and acute dry skin? ## I don't have any information on this, but I can tell you that there have been several people posting that it has worked and several others who have heard of it and have been asking the same types of questions Gleevec is currently approved to treat certain types of cancer, so the side effects of these types of medications can be pretty prodigious and I am not certain it would be worth using to treat a skin condition. I've been taking simvastatin for about 4 months and have had a really bad itchy skin reaction, but nothing is relieving it. I do not see this posted as a side effect. Not using grapefruit juice, what else might it be interacting with to cause this great discomfort? ## I've been on simvastatin for over a year. Several months I contracted an itch. My PCP doesn't think it is the medicine, but I do. I feel like bugs are crawling under my skin. I have stopped taking it for a few days and the itch has subsided. I'm going to stay of the pills for a week then try them again and see if the itch comes back. If so, I'm telling my doctor he has to prescribe something else. I am 58 and suffering from high blood pressure. I recently was taking coveram 10/10 mg and natrilix SR.
