I am 24 years old and I have had an on and off skin rash on the top of my left foot and one on my outside of my right shoulder for the past 2-3 years. Same two places always. I have not been to the dermatologist because they seem to go away if I can leave them alone and not scratch them. When I do get them they stay for awhile because I can't stop scratching them (maybe due to stress). The past month they have been itching the hell out of me and I can't stop scratching. I have tried all types of lotions and creams that you can buy at a walgreens but they only work for a little bit then back to scratching. I asked the pharmacist for his 'expert opinion' and he said I should try something stronger like cordran tape that covers the area and prevents me from scratching it. I...

My skin itches after taking a bath. I have changed soaps and body lotions ## Hello, Sybza! How are you doing? What about your shampoo and conditioner, if you use any? Those typically wash down over the body, when you're using them and then rinse them off, so that's also something you should look into. How about your towels and the detergent and/or fabric softener you use on them? What type of water do you have? All could be culprits. Have you consulted your doctor?

When I had the chicken pox as child my doctor prescribed a little gray pill for itching. Many pills were left over, and for years afterward, whenever my mom or dad or I had a cough, we would take the pill to stop the nagging itching in the back of our throats. This pill worked well, even after the expiration date, and nobody died. This pills was prescribed in the 1960s, the doctor is deceased, so we cannot go back into the medical records to find the name of the pill. Does anyone know of similar pill today? ## Topical skin itching, or was it solely for the scratchy/itchy throat? More specifics may help to narrow down the possibilities. Does anyone else know? ## I am interested in this tiny grey pill [ like a tiny M&M] I took it in the 60's for a bad rash and it stopped the itchi...

I'm taking betamox for ringworm I hope it works, my friends say its not ringworm I have but I don't know what to do. ## Batamox is an antibiotic so it will not help with a fungal infection such as ringworm, it is only useful at treating or preventing bacterial infections. The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. What does it look like? Did a doctor say it was ringworm? ## I thought as much, bacteria medication can only treat bacteria and fungal medication will treat fungi. I haven't gone to the doctor. I took 3-day 500 mg Azithromycin for Acne rosacea. The total dose should be 3 day 500 mg and then skip 5 days and then take 3-day 500 mg until 4 weeks of period. but I have skin rash and itching. My doctor prescribed doxycyclin 150 mg per day. I thought Azithromycin was safer than Doxy and less sunsensitive. Should I continue Azithro or start taking Doxy and quit Azithro after three days. ## You should follow your doctor's instructions, if you are itching from the Azithromycin, that could be due to an allergic reaction and they tend to get worse, with repeated expose to the offending medication. They both carry the same risks. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can he...

I have an itching problem in my vagina, but it seems likes the problem is internal and eternal... What medication should I take? ## Vaginal itching is usually caused by a fungal infection, so antibiotics will not help, they can actual cause, or worsen them as side effects, according to NIH reports. Do you have any discharge or odor? Are you on any medications? Have you had this checked out by a doctor? Are you experiencing any other symptoms? ## Hello, I have been having this itching around my vagina for the last two months. I am not suspecting an STI cause I am still a virgin. I used to take half an Oxycodone 5/500 as needed for cervical for neck pain and it worked fine. Last night I took a whole dose for the first time because of sever stomach pain from vomiting all day. I may have eaten something bad the day before but there was nothing more in my stomach and the pain kept me awake (but I was exhausted from the ordeal). My refill is Endocet 5-325. I guess I had an allergic reaction because my feet started burning in the middle of the night and I was going insane. I iced them in a pan of cold water and ice for as long as I could (30 seconds in/30 seconds out) until I finally felt numb and fell asleep. Woke up late afternoon to the burning itch in my feet - worse than before - and burning, itching palms as well. It was too late to go to my doctor or urgent ca...
