Hi. I'm 27 years old and after 1 and a half years of marriage, we are planning for a baby. Before this we consulted a doctor for general reference and the doctor prescribed me Folic Acid (Folvite) Tablets IP 5 mg to take 1 tablet daily. She said before planning, start taking this tablet and take it for at least 1-2 months. I wanna know what is the use of this tablet before planning and is it safe to continue taking this tablet? ## We are planning for a baby but my doctor told me to take folvite tablets for one month... i am below 50y ago women, if any problem in use folic acid tablets i p 5mg folvite deaily ## This is just a nutritional supplement that's used to treat or prevent a deficiency in Folic Acid. There is no harm in taking them, unless your doctor has told you not to do so for some reason, such as if your levels of it were too high. I visited a gynaec and the doctor said she identified an ulcer. Doctor suggested I take the folvite tablet until pregnancy. Could you suggest if that is good enough and why consume it till pregnancy as I see most of the reviews suggesting the consumption of these tablets while planning for a baby or while pregnant.

I am a patient of RA for the last 4 years and have been taking folitrax 10mg & folvite 5mg once a week. Are there any side effects (as I feel tired & get mild headaches)? My wife using Macofolate tablet because she is Pregnant now . another doctor give prescription for Folvite . please send me the possible side effects of the above mentioned drugs. my grand ma is taking these drugs so i want to know the possible side effects. ## There are just multivitamin/mineral supplements, not actual medications, which means that they are not studied for side effects, as is done with actual drugs. Some people do experience some localized soreness from the infections and nausea from taking the tablets, but that's really all the information that is available. Is her doctor aware that she's taking them?

Hi, am 7 weeks pregnant. i am prescribed to take ecospirin 75 and Dubagest 300 along with Folvite. is it fine to take these tablets? Also i am having severe cold and cough. But my Gynaec dint give any tablets. she adviced to take hot water and low dose of paracetomol if needed. Pl advice ## I am 9 weeks pregnant and doctor prescribe me dubagest 300 mg .
