My prescription is 1MG I want to make sure I have the right one. My pills are light yellow, and small. I just had a refill and they seem a little bigger. The numbers on the pill itself are 210 on one side and 1 G on the other side. Is this 1MG? Thank you! ## HI Tracie, I can confirm that the pill in description is in fact Folic Acid (1 mg). Vitamin B9 (folic acid and folate inclusive) is essential to numerous bodily functions ranging from nucleotide biosynthesis to the remethylation of homocysteine. The human body needs folate to synthesize DNA, repair DNA, and methylate DNA as well as to act as a cofactor in biological reactions involving folate. I have got hepetitis B. I heared from one of TV medical program that medicine for this problem is Alpha Folic Acid. I do not understand, what kinde of medecine it is. what should be the dosage and for how long should I take it, what would be the side affects of using it. ## I believe what you heard them referring to was Alpha Lipoic Acid. It is not actually a medication though, it is a nutritional supplement that is believed to help support liver function, as well as having other health benefits. Therefore, it should not the first line treatment for any form of Hepatitis, because it is not actually proven to do anything. Before adding it, you should consult with your doctor to make sure it is safe for you to do so. Are there any other questions or comments?

ok to take prestiq and folic acid together? ## While Pristiq is an antidepressant medication, Folic acid is none other than Vitamin B9, which is naturally abundant in many leafy vegetables. After gathering this information, I believe consuming folic acid from eating healthy foods is a superior alternative to any supplemental form. In my opinion It would be ok to take the two together. I am not an MD, so I cannot assess what is suitable for you. But I do think you should give that some consideration regarding a natural alternative.
