My Dr prescribed tretinoin cream 0.025% for wrinkles and I also have acetonido de flucinolona. Are they the same product? The one from Mexico said 10 mg. ## No, they are not, the Tretinoin can treat acne and may prevent some wrinkles, while the other is an antifungal cream. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including skin redness, dryness, irritation, and flaking. Is there anything else I can help with?

I was just diagnosed with folliculitis by my family doctor an he put me on keflex and my dermatologist has me putting flouocinolone acetonide on it. Is this normal? ## Hi George, From what I could gather, folliculitis is reported to be a common type of skin condition (usually caused by a bacterial or fungal infection) in which the hair follicles can become inflamed. So it makes sense to me why you were prescribed an antibiotic such as Keflex (cephalexin) for the infection as well as Fluocinolone acetonide, which is a topical corticosteroid mainly used for reducing skin inflammation and itching. This combination of meds would essentially be attacking the folliculitis from both angles, and in my opinion, seems like an appropriate course of action. I hope this helps!

My grandson had a severe case of eczema, red itchy on back of leg arms and back ...just want to know if anyone had used it for their eczema and get some feedback on the usage. ## Hello, Faith13! How are you and your grandson? I'd suggest not using it on him, without doctor's approval. Using the wrong thing may actually make it worse. Gelmicin contains a topical steroid, an antibiotic and antifungal medication. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including skin irritation, redness, dryness and itching.
