This drug is used as an agent to break down mucus, and to treat an overdose of Acetaminophen. Fluimucil (Acetylcysteine) can be taken with our without food but it's best to take after meals to avoid gastrointestinal problems. The recommended adult dosage for the oral solution or tablet is (600 mg) per day or (200 mg) at regular intervals.
