cyclobenzaprine ## Can't wait to receive your daily Newsletter. ## For more information about this drug please see the page: Flexeril ## Be careful with Flexeril. If you are on anti-depressents, ask your doctor. I am on anti-depressents and cannot take Flexeril. Robaxin is better by far.

I just took 15 pills of Cyclobenzaprine of 10mg for pain. It's a yellow pill with the letter V on one side and 2632 on the other side. And im also taking bupropion 2x a day. Is this dangerous (?) cause I'm getting scared now. ## Hello, Rose! How are you? Did you suffer any adverse effects? Why did you take so many? This is a muscle relaxant, not an actual analgesic, but taking that many could still be dangerous, because it can cause depression of the central nervous system. And I'd like to add a note for anyone else that reads this in the future, if you have reason to suspect that your life or the life of someone else may be in danger, please call poison control or be send at your nearest emergency treatment facility. While there are those of us online that are always happy ...

Can 370 mg of this medication kill someone? ## From what I've read, the recommended dose of Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) is 5 to 10mgs three times daily; which would amount to 15 or 30 mgs total. I'm not sure why anyone in their right frame of mind would consider taking anything more than that, but 370mg is just ridiculous and careless in my opinion. Do you know if this person is even still alive right now or are you simply speaking hypothetically? In case of any overdose, you should probably be prepared to call your local poison control center or emergency hotline first and foremost. Waiting for a possible response on a forum may not be the best idea if the person you know really is dying from this overdose. I hope this helps!

Is there a xanax and flexeril pill all in one ## No, there is nothing that contains both active ingredients in one medication that's available in the U.S. That type of combination is one that the FDA generally finds very questionable, due to the possible risks of taking both and they usually will not approve them. i have chronic back pain however try not to take medication unless i have to. i have left over flexeril 5mg from a prescription written in dec. 2009 and expires 2010. is it safe to take for muscles spasms or should i toss it. i like to keep some in my cabinet because the few times my back gets really bad i am unable to get out of bed. ## Flexeril contains the active ingredient Cyclobenzaprine, which is a muscle relaxant and you should contact your doctor for a new prescription, because it does lose efficacy past the expiration date, so it may not work as well as it did, when it was new. This creates the danger of overdose, by taking more, to get the relief you need. Almost all medications have a limited shelf life and will start to lose efficacy past that date. Are there any other quest...

I didn't find any problems or interactions listed between them, but with your medical history, I wouldn't suggest taking the Flexeril unless your doctor has said it is safe for you to do so. Robaxin 500mg compaired to Flexeril 10mg, are they considered the same strength or which one is stronger? ## Robaxin contains the active ingredient Methocarbamol and Flexeril contains Cyclobenzaprine. The Flexeril is generally much more mild, so 10mgs of it would not be equal to the 800mg dosage of Robaxin. Have you been switched from one to the other? ## soma vs. flexeril, WITCH IS STRONGER ## got it and thanks ## I was given Robaxin for my rotar cuff shoulder. I had problems with Robaxin. Is Flexeril safe to take after age 60? I have muscle pain. I get all tied in knots and can't even stand up straight. My doctor gave me Baclofen and it did nothing to help me, but Flexeril has always worked. ## The older you are, the more sensitive you might be to the side effects of any given medication. When it comes to muscle relaxants, the NIH warns that they may include nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. However, only you and your doctor can decide which is best for you. Have you told them that the Baclofen isn't working for you? Are you on any other medications?

Can i take both of these together ## Hello, Charlotte! How are you? I didn't find any interactions or problems listed between these two medications, but it's always best to double check such information to be sure. The FDA classifies Flexeril as a muscle relaxant and lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Carvedilol is a beta blocker that is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have been taking Flexeril for about 10 years and my doctor gave me Baclofen. Which is better? ## There isn't really any muscle relaxant that is better than another, it depends on which one works best for you, Have you tried taking the Baclofen, yet? The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. ## What exactly does Baclofen do? Does Baclofen help to decrease the number of muscle spasms you experience? And does it also decrease the intensity of muscle spasms?

I take 10 mgs of lexapro and was wondering if 5mgs of flexeril would interact? I weigh about 140 lbs and am 5'8. I do not take anything else. My mom gave me a flexeril to help with some muscle spasms in my back but I don't want to take it if it interacts. ## No, these medications should not be taken together, as it increases the risk of your developing Serotonin Syndrome, which has the potential to be fatal. Thus, if your doctor hasn't prescribed them both for you, it could be very dangerous for you to take them, according to FDA reports. It would be best to consult your physician to see what you can safely take. Is there anything else I can help with?

Found a very small, peach-colored pill. Has the number 282 on one side, and "IG" on the other. I think it's a 5mg flexeril, but would like confirmation please. ? ## Hi Kathleen, From what I could gather, a round peach pill marked with IG on one side and 282 on the other, is reportedly identified as a 5mg Cyclobenzaprine tablet - the generic for Flexeril. Apparently it's a muscle relaxer but has an off-label use for fibromyalgia as well. And for added verification, this pill is listed as being manufactured by a company called InvaGen Pharma. It also carries a National Drug Code of 68462-0552. I hope this info helps!

Is Flexeril similar to Roxcets? ## NO! Not the same type of drug at all. Flexeril is a muscle relaxant containing Cyclobenzaprine. Roxicet is a narcotic pain reliever containing Acetaminophen and Oxycodone. ## No Flexeril is a strong and good muscle reaxant, also causes sleepiness, Roxicet is a STRONG!!! Narcotic. ## I have flexeril that expired in 2007... can I still take it if the bottle says it should be yellow and its more of a peachish color....? No odor.

Does anybody know how long Flexeril stays in your system? I really need to know. ## It is addicting so you need to taper off if you have used it for a while. ## Flexeril... this is my first. what are the risk in taken this medication and what are the side of effect. ## Flexeril is a muscle relaxant, IT IS NOT RELATED TO VALIUM and IS NOT in the same class of drugs. The active ingredient is Cyclobenzaprine. Some of the most common side effects are: drowsiness, headache, depression and blurred vision. How long it lasts in your system really depends on the dosage you have been taking and how long you have been taking it.
