Hello thank you for stopping by. I have a problem with my index finger on my left hand. when i bend it there seems to be a small bump where the PIP joint is. It is a bit swollen, numb, bruised, and a bit stiff, but no pain. During my school day I remember playing soccer, and accidentally banging my fingers on the table. I don't think this is a fracture. When I bend my finger the small, hard "bump" protrudes out and stretches the skin. Is there any possibility of what this might be? Thank you. ## Sorry to hear about your finger. Unfortunately it is difficult to know what it is for sure without running any tests such as x-rays. My insurance won't cover any treatment for trigger finger (it's actually my thumb) but my doctor put me on 75mg Diclofenac 2x/daily. How long does it typically take to get rid of this condition? I've had trigger thumb for a month now and the doctor just put me on Diclofenac last week because it didn't just go away on it's own. I'm basically wondering how much longer I have to have a useless left hand! LOL ## There is really no specific time frame that can be given, it really depends on how severe it is, your own body's rate of healing and etc. Diclofenac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, so it can help with pain and swelling. Learn more Diclofenac details here. Has your doctor given you any other advice, such as using cold and warm packs, or etc?

Have been taking warfarin for quite a few years now for antiphospholipid syndrome. I have recently had quite extensive dental work done. I have had lots of issues with bleeding which resulted in my having a vitamin k shot, and a few trips to A & E. Can anyone tell me the difference between having blood taken by finger price or taken intravenously? Yesterday I had to have my INR repeated at the dentist request.
