Can I uses amoxicillin to kill the infection in my mouth until I see my dentist? ## Hi Beth, My research shows that Amoxicillin can be used to treat dental infections. In fact, it's actually one of the first-line treatment options that dentists use for these types of infections, so you should be fine using it in that regard. Unfortunately I can't tell you proper dosing information, since those details are usually given to you by your doctor/dentist. However, you'd likely have to have enough Amoxicillin to finish a full-course of treatment (which is generally 7-10 days), in order to completely destroy all the bacteria. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Amoxicillin Details How long do you have until your next dental appointment?

Can taking methamphetamine cause a sudden acute attack of painful sciatica and degenerative disc disease? I was fine when I went to bed but woke up with it and could not walk and was crippled with unbearable pain that's continued for a month and is still going on. Dr. prescribed neurontin which doesn't help at all. Help with medication suggestions please! ## I'm very sorry to hear about your debilitating side effects. From what I've been reading online, many of the symptoms associated with Methamphetamine use are often considered to be sudden and in some cases severe. This drug literally destroys from the inside out (lowering your body's immunity/resistance to illness in general); so I wouldn't say it's not possible to become crippled on methamphetamine, even...

I would like to know if it is fine for a stroke patient to take a Neuronerv vitamin B1 + B6 + B12? ## Has their doctor told them to take it? If so, they should do so, most B vitamins are known to help with nerve support, health, and function. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, diarrhea, and insomnia, due to its potency. Are there any questions?

my right hand is so swollen, all numb and very painful. the left hand is fine. anyone have this problem? I am stopping the lyrica to see what happens. does anyone know how long it will take for the swelling to go away after stopping lyrica? ## Hi roz, Were you diagnosed with carpal tunnel, arthritis, or any sort of nerve entrapment in your right hand? Only asking because what you're describing is usually commonly associated with those types of conditions. Additionally, "swelling of the arms, hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs" is listed as a general side effect of Lyrica. So depending on the underlying cause of this inflammation, it's also likely that Lyrica could be the culprit. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Lyrica Details Have you discussed this wi...

I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. Herniated l5s1 and holy f word it hurts. They are giving me lyrica on day two and feel like a 70 year old drunk. I had a ct scan but was denied the mri doc thinks I'll be fine. What I don't understand is why I'm taking nerve medicine but he thinks I'll be able to re set the disc and be fine. Why not some muscle relaxers and nsaids....I lay in pain hoping this stupid drug works in a week to 10 days. Thanks for letting me rant. ## Lyrica is actually not a nerve medication, so to speak. It is classified by the U.S. FDA as an anticonvulsant that has also been shown to help with certain types of nerve pain, and some mood disorders. It usually takes about 4 to 5 weeks to reach its full level of efficacy in your body, to see if it is ...

pain medication ## Please see the drug Gabapentin for more information. Thank You! ## what is this med for? ## Gabapentin was originally developed for the treatment of epilepsy, and currently, gabapentin is widely used to relieve pain, especially neuropathic pain. ## Roy, I take Gabapentin 600mg for some nerve in my left foot. By itself it hardly works. But I take it with another pain releiver it works just fine. I also take hydrocodone 5/500 mg. Now if I take any one of these alone they just don't seem to work on my foot. But together, I do have some relief. Thanks for the information. ## GABATENTIN, USED FOR? SIDE EFFECTS?

Can you please tell me where I can find a primary care doctor in the 37757 or 37766 area for my nerve medication. I have been on 0.5 mg of alprazolam 3x day for 40 years. My primary care doctor wrote them out for years and stopped over a year ago and had my pain management doctor writing them out and he gave me my last prescription for this month to due me till Oct. My family doctor she got in trouble by the medical board for giving all her patients a 1/2 of dose of the flu shot and charging all the insurance company's and she was fined 10 Thousand and community service and five year prob. and she was taken off prob. the end of 2014 so she stopped writing out all medication that is with nerve medication or pain medication so she won't have to deal with the drug panels. Hi there, I've been looking online for information on how to get off the butrans patch (5mg) I have been on now for about 3 years. I was placed on this due to a spinal infection and the lingering affects due to nerves thereof - a general diagnosis has been possible lyme/west nile - whatever it is/was - I am still (4 yrs. later numb from the knees down - numbness is intermittent and moves about from knees down to feet). Still on a walker as whatever this was took out my left leg in particular however my right leg is fine. It's been a trip - but I'll beat it - darn if I won't. All said, though and back to topic - has anyone any suggestions on how to "get off" this butran's patch - the lowest dose ? Can I just take the darn thing off and ride it out or is this d...

I started taling xarelto 5/10/2014 after my 2nd DVT in my leg. The first DVT was in February 2013 and I was on xarelto until September of 2013. I had no major side effects. Today I woke up with a black eye. My eye was itchy the last few days and I am not sure if I rubbed it. The bruise runs from the corner of my eye, near where my eyeglasses rest and under the eye. No one hit me and I did not walk into anything. My vision is fine but my nerves are stressed. Does this sound serious? It's Sunday and so I can't talk to my Hemotologist. ## Hello, Mele! How are you doing? Have you had this checked out, yet? That sudden bruising might be the sign a dangerous level of blood thinning, so you need to be very careful. What dose do you take? Have you taken Aspirin or any other NSAIDs recen...

For all this I take 1000 mg of metformin twice daily, risperidone 1 mg, bubropion hcl XL 300 mg, lorazepam 0.5mg 3 to 4 times daily, 750 mg of nabumetone once to twice daily, 100 mg of tramadol 3 times daily, and 900 mg of gabapentin 3 times daily. I have pinched nerves in my neck and have had many procedures including a rhyzotomy for the pinched nerves and neck problems. I still get around fine, drive a car, and have job. I also drink one or two beers most days after work. The only problems I've ever had with the medicines was strong sedation the first two times I took gabapentin. After that it never happened again. It also took 3 to 4 weeks for the tram...

My 12 year old 106lb daughter was prescribed this today by her dr. for an infection on her arm. I was reading the side effects and was getting nerves and it also didnt list the dose on the bottle just said take it 3 times a day for 10 days. I called the pharmacy and the doctors and they both said that the dose is 800 and the pharmacist said that when they ran it through their computer it didnt raise any red flags with the dose. But all the info ive been reading it says its usually taking 2 times a day every 12 hours. Im kind of nerves about weither this is to much for her to be taking. So far shes taken 2 of them today and so far shes only complained about a stomachache and a headache. But both the doctors office and the pharmacist said it was fine.
