I need a Dr that excepts medicare as payment. I now am paying for methadone at an outpatient clinic because my insurance does not cover. However, I need methadone not for addiction reasons, but I have fibromyalgia. So a Dr. That prescribes it for pain will also work ## Hello Keekee! How are you? I'm sorry, but if you've been going to an addiction treatment clinic, regardless of why, the fact that it is an addiction clinic will be in your records and a private practice doctor won't be able to prescribe it for you. Thus, staying with a clinic will be your only option. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Does anyone h...

I just got on medicare and had been given my pain meds which are Hydromorphone 8 mg (120) and morphine sul. 60 mg 2 daily. My prior Dr had me on 100 mg of the morphine and 180 of the hydromorphone. I can see a pain specialist who takes insurance but don't know who.. Can anybody to go to. Can anybody refer me to some Drs that will write a reasonable amount of medicine so that I am not in pain. At least when I was with the other doctor I was comfortable but she no longer practices.I am in the Clearwater fl area. ## Hello, Unfortunately, no one can really know ahead of time what a doctor is or is not willing to prescribe, as that is based on the doctor's discretion and not on someone else's previous appointment (especially since many doctor's are now worried about losing th...

Can someone please recommend a Pain Mgt. Dr. in or around Grensboro, NC I have back, neck, hip and leg issues, take pain meds for these issues and have had meds halved by Primary Care Dr. Trying to get into one place called Guilford Pain Mgt. However iI'm not entirely confident the office will cal to make apt. with me. I heard there is only 1 provider there that's accepting new Medicare pts. and it takes min 2 months.

I need a pain doctor or pain clinic who doesn't require a referral, takes Medicare and Medicaid, who will prescribe my Xanax 2mg, Dilaudid 8mg, Roxy 30, Soma 350mg. I have my paperwork from the hospital state to take these meds. I need someone in Atlanta Ga, or Roswell Ga, Lwrncvil Ga. ## Hello, Cindy! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. As to your medications, it is doubtful that you will find one doctor that will prescribe them all. Due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, you need to see a specialist, so for that list, you'll most likely need to see a pain management specialist, as well as a psychiatrist for the Xanax. These medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dr...

This pain is going to be the death of me. I have a daughter who's 12 that is now dealing with Mommy being in Pain. Its go time! Thanks so much. ## Louisiana Medicaid will not pay for a pain management Dr. ## Try the Feldman Institute in Baton Rouge. You have to have injections and procedures as well if you want medications, but he also has his own MRI machine on the property. He's a brilliant doctor, and he accepts Medicaid and Medicare. ## Tiffanie, having Medicaid when you also have Medicare is not the same as having Medicaid only. ## I am looking for a pain management doctor who takes cash...I have been in pain 25 ...

I need a clinic or doctor for methadone treatment that takes Medicare and mutual of Omaha supplement and is a pain management doctor in the Tyler. Lngview area ## Hello, Carolyn! How are you doing? You actually can't get both, so to speak. If you require Methadone treatment for drug addiction, you'll have to go to a treatment clinic, regular doctors aren't allowed to prescribe it for that….which brings me full circle to the other, if you require it for pain, a pain management specialist can't provide addiction treatment with it, it's basically one or the other. Learn more Methadone details here. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation....

My husband takes the generic form of Percocet for severe chronic breakthru pain. I am looking for assistance in paying for his medications. He is on medicare w/ a supplement incl part d however he is now in the medication gap making this a very expensive rx. Anyone know of any assistance resources? ## @grannychoas, This site actually offers a drug discount card that can reportedly save you anywhere from 15% to 75% off your Rx, potentially cutting the cost by more than half. You can view more details about it on the following page: RX Savings Card Just print out that card for your husband and have him bring it whenever he goes to fill a prescription. At that point the pharmacy should be able to determine how much of a discount he'll receive. I'd be curious to know if the percenta...
