this is in reply to all who are complaining to the new oxycontin 80 OP. I have been takeing them for 2 years now. My last scrip is still the OC. I pray they are pulled before we get them here. There are other meds we all can go to such as the fent. Patch which comes in a lolly pop too. I bet they will be pulled & back to the old ones before the year is out ## Pharmacies are allowed to continue to dispense the original product, until their stocks runs out, then all will only be able to get the new Oxycontin OP. There have, however, been many complaints that they do not work as well and cause odd side effects, even though they are supposed to work the same and have the same side effects. Anyone that has problems should report them to both the FDA and Purdue at the following numbers: P...

is there a way to take out the filler ## No, the new Oxycontin OP has been specifically designed to prevent people from doing just that. They are trying to curtail abuse of the medication. It is, however, still supposed to work the same and can cause the same side effects: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. Do you have any other questions? ## the new reformulated drug oxycontin op does not have the same effects and pain relief that the oxycontin oc brand has.what should i do?I am on oxycontin 80 oc mg. ## Its not reformulated . And its the same molecular structure as the o.c. you were probably abusing the o.c. which made them into instant release. ## Verwon, the questioner specified OC, NOT OP. The answer is that if you want a SOLUTION which will be instantly available to t...

I am wondering if there is a manufacturer of oxycontin other then purdue? I am taking oxycontin 80 mlgm, and purdue has changed the medication, and it does not work for me with what they have done to it. ## Actavis is a manufacturer of generic Oxycontin, my insurance will only pay for generic. They have not reformulated. ## I am not sure what is going on with the generic Oxycontin, Sometimes they are available and others not. If you are in reference to the inability to misuse the new OP/80 there are always a way and Purdue Pharma knows this and so does the FDA. My suggestion is take them in the proper manner. ## a few years back a company did make generic oxycontin and they were just as good as perdue's. they were pink instead of green. anyway perdue sued them for making them just a...

My sub doc gave me two 20mg of oxycontin per day to help with the withdrawal. I have not felt any withdrawal. I need to get the subutex out of my body because it has made me very sick. I hope everyone will reply to my post. I 'am like thousand of good people who live in pain every minute of the day. And now since Purdue the makers of Oxycontin has reformulated the OC to OP we all suffer. I like all has called Purdue with my concerns not only a complaint on how this new Oxycontin does not work and its side effects. What I will do if I have enough people to respond is to set up a FACEBOOK page were people can add his or her story about how the OP do not work, what side affects he or she is having. Also where everyone can boycott any medication that Purdue sells. When at the Pharmacy ask the Pharmacist to give you another brand of medication not one made by Purdue. Trust me there are many other drug companies who make the same day to day medication we take. From bloo...

How can I tell if oc 80 is real? ## Hi Misti, If you could provide the imprint(s) on the tablet, along with a physical description of the pill (color, shape, etc), then I can help you determine if it's real or not. I have seen a round green 80mg Oxycodone tablet with the imprint: M 596; and another round green one with the imprint: ABG 80; and one other that is oval and green with an imprint of: 33 93. While I'm sure there are a few others out there besides these three that are 80mg doses, once you post back with more details, we can narrow down the search. I hope this helps!

I took my first Oxy 60 OP. It did not work well...reminded me of the generic ones a few years ago. Will Purdue ever go back to the Oc formula? ## They are not intending to, at the moment, however, many people have been reporting problems with this new formulation not working as well or causing odd side effects. I suggest you contact Purdue and the FDA to report the problem: Purdue Pharma number for drug safety/medication issues: 888.726.7535 FDA MedWatch number: 800-332-1088 Do you have any other questions? ## the new oxycontin dosnt work dosnt release the med if u dont believe put 1 in a glass eee how long it takes to disolve. then take a plastic botttle se how long it takes to disolvein water same difference it the bottle wont disolve in water neither will the new pills, check out wha...

have forest green, capsule shaped oxycontin CR C-11. Package is a bubble card . Pills are slightly scored with no inscriptions. AAre these real? ## I have these tablets also but don't know if they are real. ## There are not the legal U.S. Oxycontin product manufactured by Purdue Pharma. Those are all round tablets, the old ones had a marking of OC on one side and the number designating the dosage on the other side, while the new formulation replaces the OC with the letters OP. Where were these found/obtained? All U.S. manufactured prescription medications will have unique markings of some type to enable their identification. ## I have these also, they are past expiration date and had no effect when I took one..I haven't found 1 person who can validate whether these are real or n...

I've got the oxycontin cr c 11 80mg. They come in a package of 10 with bubble push through. They are forest green and oval but have no markings at all. I was told there are no markings because they are generic and sold to hospitals. Does anyone out there have information about this? Please help, in severe pain. Thanks to all. ## Hospitals get their medications from the same sources as pharmacies, so they also have markings on them. If you've been given tablets that don't have any markings, then they are not a legal U.S. approved Oxycontin. The only Oxycontin tablets available here to be used anywhere are the name brand, which all have markings on them. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizzin...

Lightheaded, dizzy, sleepy, nauseous, flu-like, can't function. Have taken OCs for years and never had these problems. ## Yes, there have been many complaints that they are not as effective and that they cause odd side effects. is there a red 80 mg oxycontin capsule ## There are no Oxycontin capsules, Oxycontin is a time released formulation of the narcotic Oxycodone and the time release form is only available as tablets, which are manufactured by Purdue Pharma. The original tablets had the marking of OC on one side and 80 on the other, while the new replaces the OC with the letters OP, they are both round and green. In addition, the only 80mg dosage available in the time released, with the markings that I mentioned above. Are there any other questions or comments?

How long do original OxyContin 80 mg tablets with OC and 80 prints potency last? ## Hello, Snappy! How are you? If they are still sealed in the original factory bottle, then they are good for 3 years from the date of manufacture. However, if that bottle has been opened, so they are exposed to the elements that cause degradation, it drops to one year from then. Other odd storage conditions would hasten the degradation, for instance if you were storing them in a plastic bag in a purse or backpack, because that could allow more moisture to build up. Or if they were store in a bathroom medicine chest, where it regularly gets damp and steamy. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth ...

Greetings! Just returned from my regular pharmacy where I have been getting my O.C. 80's for years. Today my pharmacist told me that there is now a generic for my Oxy. She told me that because of the cost difference my insurance co. is demanding that I get the generic but the store won't have the generic in stock fot two to three days. This sounds fishy as I have not heard anything about a generic O.C. Has anyone else run into anything like this? Thanks.....Dennis ## Hello, Dennis! How are you? I know originally, they did away with the generics, due to the fact that there were far too many on the market and it made it hard to keep track of the supply to prevent theft and diversion. However, from what I'm currently reading generics have been recently approved from Actavis and...
