I have had 3 epidurals, have 3 degenerating discs, have run 55 marathons, completed 5 Ironman Races. I don't smoke or drink and lead a healthy lifestyle. I won't take narcotics. Reason being is that they are better trained in the types of medications that handle these problems and many general physicians are reluctant to prescribe controlled substances due to abuse and the heavy regulations that they have to abide by from the government. If you do opt to see a regular medical doctor, some advice I can give you is to not specifically ask for any given medication right off the bat. Im looking for a Dr. or psychiatrist that will prescribe me xanax. My Dr. recently retired and I've been getting 120 2mg bars every month for years and als. I need to find a doctor in the Cape-Atlantic-Cumberland region who will keep me on the same medication. I am on 0.5 mg of Xanax three times a day. I have been on Valium, then Xanax beginning at age 10 for severe panic attacks. I was going to a clinic where the doctor was fine, but I was bounced around from doctor to doctor after the regular one left. The fill-ins were fine. Thank you ## If the Psychiatrist is the only doctor that recommends marijuana in Las Vegas I'm sure you can possibly get Xanax as well. Not a good idea to tell them only the 2 mg Bar works for you, take whatever they offer.

I have terrible anxiety and panic attacks. They control my life in general. I have been prescibed xanax for panic disorder by a couple different doctors. Both one MG and two MG. I first was prescribed them by a psychiatrist that passed. I started getting them from family doctor. My last doctor got in trouble and lost his license for over prescibing so those medical records aren't available and the psychiatrist that died records aren't available. Son is 24 and has high anxiety, was through chemo many years ago, things not the same. Dr here in Phoenix area we went to gave him xanex and then said to that Zoloft. No way in he is taking that. He only wants like 1 pill every couple of days or so. This is an extremely talented individual that has had a serious lack of motivation and energy since going through the chemo and radiation.
