moved here from delaware looking for pain clinic birmingham area who will perscribe oxycodone 30mg . i was given 4 a day. i was in a bad motorcycle accident in 2012. the dr im going to gives oxycotin 40mg 2x per day ive tried it there way 9 month im tired of being in pain to top it off just found out i have stage 3 cancer. please help thank you ## Preferred Pain, Trussville Al.

My dr in Mont., AL has been prescribing me 3 80mg oxycontin for several years. My visit last week he refilled my script and said it could be the last because he was told there was diversion possibly coming from his practice. Btw that was 3 a day. If he doesn't refill my script on my next visit, I need to find a Dr. quick. Is it legal not to wean a patient off? The pain clinics in this town are full. ## If he cannot continue to prescribe, he should be able to refer to another doctor or clinic that will accept his current patients. Has he suggested anyone? And yes, it is perfectly legal for a doctor to stop prescribing your medications, even if they are habit forming, at any time. Need an pain clinic too treat my pain i have had 2 knee surgerys and taken 2-3 Norco 10 is not treating my pain i also have back pain ## Try TVPC/Spine and Neuro Center in Huntsville. Dr Morris Scherlis is my anesthesiologist and he is great. My only issue with them really is that for office visits I have to see one of his two staff members and the guy(Greg) is kind of an ass. Sorta condescending and suspicious of patients it seems. Also, I have a few other issues besides my back/sciatic pain and I was on several different meds for it including Ativan for anxiety/stress and ambien for sleeping problems due to my pain...I've weaned myself off both of them in the past year and done the same with my muscle relaxers. I have a left leg gone and rods in my back and the doctor that dismissed me after the suit was over couldn't see me anymore because the car insurance wouldn't pay any more and he had me on all this medicine and now I need a doctor who will give me back my medicines ## Hello, Edward! Additionally, if you call around and ask if they'll prescribe such a medication, most doctors will view that as drug seeking behavior and not even let you get in the door. That means i must go every month now and pay for an office visit. I know that is true in New York but i am not aware of any changes in Alabama law. I am trying to find a doctor in Montgomery Alabama who will prescribe Subutex for lower back pain and I have a couple of friends who go to a doctor for this but he recently stopped taking patients. I don't want to be on any kind of opiate BC of the chance of getting addicted to it. By law a dr must tell u by letter about a referral 30 days prior, and find u a new dr to carry on ## I have a referral.. I just need an appointment b4 30 days wait for new patients.. Need to find a VA doctor at one of the clinics in Huntsville,al. Who prescribe pain meds for RA. I have a valid pain issue and my doctor took me off hydrocodone 10/325. Those helped me get out of bed without groaning and acheing for 20 min before i can get up. Now i am in pain and my doctor just wants to give me ultram. This med in no way helps. Does anyone have recommendations of any doctors who will actually manage your pain in North Alabama (Gadsden to Huntsville area)? I have been on pain management for greater than 10 years, always been compliant with my treatment plan, never failed a drug panel, have LOTS of documentation showing my problems but yet NO ONE wants to truly manage my pain. In the past it seems as if I am placed on a regimen that finally works then all the sudden the MD or NP says that due to DEA they can no longer prescribe meds as I have been taking (that they started me on mind you) and they drop my doses drastically??? Hi I am 40 years old and have trouble sleeping since I was a child due to horrible pain inv my legs and hips. I have gone 3 full days before with no sleep because the pain is so bad. I had some kidney stones removed just before Christmas and was prescribed norco 10-325. I broke those tablets in half and after the second day I realized that the pain I have suffered with for over 20 years was relieved with this medication.
