well i started liryca last night and today dont fill the pain but im stopint it today after i read all of this im scare dont want to gain weight ## Not everyone experiences weight gain. keep a healthy diet and excercise you shouldnt have a prob. Most people that do experience weight gain get it because it can cause sleepyness/being tired all the time.. slows your metabolism down and you want to sleep alot. the benefits of this medication in most cases out weigh the side effects. if it works for your pain stick with it. :)

How are you? Lyrica is an anticonvulsant that has also been proven effective at treating certain types of nerve pain and as a mood stabilizer. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, blurred vision and yes, weight gain… but not everyone experiences these side effects. The only thing you can really do is try it and find out how it affects you. Is there anything else I can help with?

What is the best medication for fibromylgia and how often should it be taken? ## There is no medication that is considered the best. Their effects can vary widely from person to person. Some people with this condition often do will with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories, such as Aceclofenac: Some have had great results with Gabapentin: Some require treatment with narcotic pain management. What has your doctor suggested you use? ## the only cure for fibromyalgia is a psychiatrist. ## This is very insulting and obviously a very uninformed individual. Fibromyalgia is very real and while I have been unsuccessful in finding anything that helps the pain or fatigue I don't see how a psychiatrist is a cure. Unless u have had to deal with this horrible condition please do not chime in with yo...

Yes, that is usually the preferred solution, in such cases, it's really the best way to ensure that the fibroid is fully removed and cannot return. There is a risk of it breaking loss and starting bleeding, or blocking the vaginal opening or causing other complications, at any time. Where you planning for more children? ## Hello, Verwon! I have been on Lyrica for 2 weeks now. Started at 75mg 2x a day, then went to 2-75mg 2x a day. My fibro pain is the absolute worst it has been in years. I have pain from head to toe. I need to sleep 12 hours a night to have my brain feel halfway normal. My fingers look like sausages and I am totally bloated from the Lyrica. Since this is a weekend day when I'm writing this, I cannot contact my doctor. Has anyone simply stopped taking Lyrica cold turkey? I am in agony with the pain. Thank you! ## I have been on Lyrica since 2005 for fibromyalgia and one of the main things I learned was that you should have been started on a lower dose, 50mg/day for a week and then slowly increased in up by 25mg/day/week until you found your "sweet spot". Otherwise, starting to high can create...

I have suffered from all over body pains in muscles & joints for over a year. They have me on a cocktail of meds, none of which seem to assist, such as Cynbalta, Lyrica etc. I have also been on Synap-Forte which seems to assist with the pain the best, but now they want to remove it from the market. I'm at my wits end as this is the only med that really helps. The others just make me feel terrible & & cough like a sick dog when I take Lyrica. The doctors have diagnosed Fibromyalgia, but it seems far more. From what I have learned over the past year is that there is not even a prescription to help or give comfort to the Lungs... Is their another herb on the market that may at least give something as small as onc percent? Thank you for your time and trouble regarding this situation... I remain, Jimmy ## Well there are meds in the US, at least, the can be used for lung problems and discomfort. If you try an herbal remedy, you run in to the problem that those are just as strong as prescription meds, but unregulated, so they can be just as dangerous and cause reactions with other meds you are taking. Have you spoken with your doctor about this? Please do so, or check with your pharmacist before adding any herbal remedies.

But my concern is its side effects taking it for long term. My age is 54 years. Will I have to take for rest of my life. ## Fibrovase contains the active ingredients Atorvastain and Fenofibrate, it is most commonly used to help lower cholesterol. All medications carry certain risks with long-term use and with the Statin class, they usually start after they have been used for 1 to 2 years. These effects may include: Loss of bone density, painful nighttime leg cramps that may interfere with sleep and decreased liver function, which can also lead to reduce alcohol tolerance, since it is no long...
