Hi... I am suffering from fever since yesterday night. What type of antibiotics can I take for fevers, cold and cough? ## Have you consulted your doctor? Some illnesses, such as cold, or flu are caused by viruses, rather than bacteria, so antibiotics will not help. The NIH lists their typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. In such cases, taking an antibiotic could result in your developing antibiotic resistant bacteria, so you should not take one, unless your doctor instructs you to do so. ## I need a medicine for an itchy throat and runny nose, and also an antibiotic to stop the itchiness. ## Sir my father age is 40years he is problems to in2 month that he was come to fever and painun body he take is flexon but not ...

i have fever i am allergic to paracetamol what can i take i am 49 year old ## Hello, Margarita! How are you? I'm sorry that you're not feeling well. If your doctor approves and says they are safe for you to take, you should be able to take a NSAID, such as Ibuprofen/Advil. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, headache, dizziness and stomach irritation. Are you on any medications?

I catch frequent colds and fevers... I almost have a cold every day and that results in a fever as well and my nasal septum is shifted to the right side and changed my nose structure... I need your help. ## Hello, Kar! How are you? I am very sorry about the problem that you're having. The virus that causes colds would not infect you that frequently, or continuously. It also rarely causes fevers. Thus, it is more likely that you have a sinus infection, which will require an antibiotic to eradicate, being that they are usually bacterial in nature. When did this start? Sometimes a cold can make you more susceptible to an infection, so it may have started with one awhile ago. What have you tried taking to treat it? Have you consulted your doctor? ## I'm 30 years old and have been su...

Dimetapp Childrens' Cold & Fever Acetaminophen + Brompheniramine + Pseudoephedrine

Dimetapp is an American brand of over-the-counter cold and allergy medicines that is manufactured by Foundation Consumer Brands. At one point, Dimetapp as a household word referred to a single combination preparation marketed to relieve symptoms of the cold, containing brompheniramine (an antihistamine) and phenylephrine (decongestant replacing the formerly used pseudoephedrine, which itself replaced phenylpropanolamine). Variants were created, including Dimetapp DM with the addition of dext...

Pl inform tablet for cold, body pain, head ache ## My father has been suffering from bodypains my fathers age is 40 so please inform me regarding tablets ## @vvrr, Sorry to hear about your father's ongoing pain. If this is a chronic condition he may just need to see a pain management specialist in order to receive proper treatment. However if this is something acute/minor, I would just suggest a few over-the-counter options for additional relief. A NSAID such as Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen, or Diclofenac may be helpful in that regard. He might also want to talk with his doctor about a prescription-strength muscle relaxer to help lessen any tension throughout his body. If he prefers a more natural approach, medical cannabis has also proven to be an effective muscle relaxant for m...

can we use zincold tablets for cold ## Hi chappu, From what I've researched, Zincold contains the three active ingredients Cetirizine + Phenylephrine + Paracetamol, which are marketed for use as an antihistamine, a decongestant, and a pain reliever/fever reducer for treating various symptoms that may be associated with the common cold (such as congestion, sinus pressure, discomfort, etc). So while Zincold wont take the cold away, it looks like its supposed to help with some of the symptoms that often come with a cold. Are you doing anything else to help combat symptoms as well or has the Zincold been working fine on its own? Feel better soon!
