I have had a slight throat ache and nasal congestion with a fever of about 99.3. My doctor gave me ceftum 500 for 5 days. After 5 days fever still is coming up to 99.3 and becomes normal if I take a crocin. My wbc count is 11600 with nuetrophiles at 63%. is this some kind of viral infection as the antibiotic does not seem to help

Fever started 1 week after femor neck surgery. Elevated levels of ESR (above 100)and CPR(above 23). Doctor rules out osteomyelitis. Put on ant biotics by GP. Fever has not come down substantially after 3 weeks of treatment.Chill and fever starts in the afternoon after lunch and continues throught night. Doctor asking us to wait and continue. My mother (age 69) received a Reclast infusion 36 hours ago. She currently has a fever of 101.8 and has the chills and has felt shaky. She has called her primary care doctor and the doctor who prescribed Reclast but since it's after hours she can only talk to their help lines. They said to head to the ER only if her fever reaches 103 degrees. They said she can take Advil or Tylenol for the fever. I read on the FDA site that Reclast can affect the kidneys so I'm suggesting Tylenol for her (since that's processed in the liver not the kidneys). I also read she should drink a lot of water. I have viral fever, and i took 2 doses of ceftas 200mg tablet, but later i found that it would be not any helpful so i did not take any further dose of ceftas 200mg .Now my fever has gone , but i could not eat or drink much anything, is it any kind of bad affects for not completing the antibiotic course? ## there are different types of bacterial infections possible. My daughter is 7 yrs old, she is 32kgs in weight. For the past 24hrs she has been getting high temperatures with chills, throat pain, headache and nausea. I have suffered from hay fever since I was a kid. I am now 70. I have been taking hydrocodone for years, never more than 3 in a day and usually one or two for pain from arthritis. Besides relieving pain I have found that hydrocodone is absolutely the best medicine for my hay fever. After taking a hydrocodone all hay fever symptoms are gone within 30 minutes. My new doctor will not prescribe hydrocodone instead preferring to give me tramadol which relieves MINOR pain and helps with the hay fever, but is not nearly as effective as hydrocodone. I have to take two at a time for any relief. I can't wait until January when I can switch back to my original doctor. I'm certainly not hooked on hydrocodone. I don't get a buzz from it, I only get relief from my hay fever and arthritis ...

Please provide the name of antibiotic tablets used for a viral fever. I have been suffering from a viral fever for the past 2 days. I just feel restless now. Can I take Crosin with antibiotics for that? ## I have been suffering from a viral fever with a throat infection for the last 4 days. I have taken azithromycin 250 tablets twice a day. The doctor has given me a 10 tablet course. I have taken 6 tablets in 3 days. But the next day I started feeling well, so I stopped taking it. Kindly suggest if there's any other suitable medicine. ## Even if you are feeling better it is EXTREMELY important that you finish the whole course of antibiotics prescribed to you by your doctor. I can't stress this enough, you MUST finish all antibiotics given to you.

I have been taking contrave for 8 days, took the second dose and woke up the next day with a headache. Took my morning dose and ended up with a high fever (102) headache and just achy all over. Long read, need help! 59 year of male diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis 2 1/2 years ago. Tried going Vegan and took the insurance-required Methotrexate for 3 months with no relief whatsoever. On the advice of my RA I started the 50mg injections of Enbrel. Within 2 days I noticed a big difference and was pain free within a month. Fast forward to a month ago. Started getting a fever to which I've seen as high as 103.3°. Oddly enough, the Enbrel stopped working at the same and went back to severe pain and stiffness within 2 weeks. Went and had all kinds of blood work with no infection found. All Covid & Flu tests were negative.
