I would like to know the after-effects of Livogen captabs, manufactured by Merck labs ## Livogen is a nutritional supplement that contains Ferrous Fumarate (Iron) and Folic Acid. Can this be used by my wife ..She is Pregnant. Below is the description of the product. NUTRILITE Iron-Folic is a unique combination of Iron and Folic acid. Nutrilite Iron-Folic provides two of the best tolerated and well absorbed forms of iron (ferrous fumarate and ferrous gluconate), combined with folic acid in a base containing the exclusive Nutrilite Spinach Concentrate. ## Is she currently taking any other supplements? Was this prescribed by her doctor or have you spoken to them about her taking it? The reason I am asking is, because while Folic Acid or a Multi-Vitamin supplement are normally given during pregnancy to make sure the mother and baby both have enough nutrients, too much iron can be just as dangerous as not having enough. That said, this site is not medical professiona...

Since so much of it just passes though, isn't there a better form to take that comes chelated or is absorbed better? ## Have you tried asking your doctor or pharmacist? What you do you mean by it just passing through? This is a nutritional supplement that contains Vitamin C, Folic Acid, Cyanocobalamin and ferrous fumarate. However, it really doesn't matter what it is, even when it comes to prescription drugs, there are only certain amounts that your body can absorb and use.

This is problem because I am in fitness. All the exercise is not helping the moodiness or weight. I don't like this pill at all!! ## Hi Ale, Sorry to hear about your problems with minastrin. Both medications are said to contain the same active ingredients (norethindrone acetate + ethinyl estradiol + ferrous fumarate), so I'm thinking any noticeable differences (that may be having a negative effect) could probably be found in the list of "inactive ingredients" - otherwise known as binders/fillers.
