I have so much BT pain it's unbearable some days. I was also checking on here if anyone else could answer the same question. " which Med is better than dilaudid and what strength should I be taking? Little yellow tablet one side has the numbers 445 and the other side has ETH ## Taking 100 mcg Fentanyl for chronic pain with 15 mg oxycodone imm rel 3x for btp. I have somewhat better attitude but with low or no pain relief. 15 mg oxy just isn't enough for the btp. I'll see if Dr. will increase dosage. Anybody else on this combination? ## Yes Im On The Same But The 75 Every 2 days And Oxy 4 bid ## I'd just like to add some information here, in case anyone else is looking for information on the tablet with the ETH 445 marking. It does contain 15mgs of Oxycodone, but it is not an immediate release formulation. This is a regular release tablet that's a generic for Roxicodone. The only immediate release Oxycodone that's available is a 5mg capsule, by their very nature, ...

I have low oxygen in my blood. I take 4, 30mg morphine IR daily. Respiratory depression has been known to occur under the use of opioids (whether it be morphine, oxycodone, fentanyl, etc)... So there's really no way of knowing if switching to another opiate is going to make any significant difference in terms of this risk factor (at least to my understanding). NIH.gov also goes on to list, "difficult or troubled breathing; irregular, fast or slow, or shallow breathing; & shortn...

What do you do when neither Oxycodone or Dilaudid work for severe lower back pain, due to disc & nerve damage from a fall. I was on Oxycodone for quite some time but apparently built up a tolerence for it, so my doctor switched me to Dilaudid...I have felt like crap all month because I am still in excruciating pain...is there anything left to try that is better than these wo? ## You might want to ask about trying the Fentanyl patch (Duragesic) or lollipop (Actiq). It is pretty much the most potent narcotic available, since it is over 80 times stronger than Morphine. Learn more Fentanyl details here. What was your dosage of Oxycodone and what is the dosage you were given of the Dilaudid? ## my oxycodone dose was 30mg 4 x a day for breakthrough pain. When that did not work anymore the...

But I do its the only thing that gives any relief Any suggestions? ## Hello, Mac! How are you? Really, the only thing you can do is be honest with your doctor. Why did you want off of the Fentanyl? Were you having problems with it? This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## Yes had most of those side effects. I was then changed to Fentanyl 50 mg. and taken off of the Percocet completely. I started feeling dizzy, my blood pressure went up, I started shaking, I could continue to go on. I noticed when I take my zanax I felt better, but it keeps coming back. I believe I'm going through withdrawal from stopping the Percocet. I am really scared, and need to know if this is possible? and what will I need to do? I need help because I am really scared and do want this to stop. ## Hello, Marsha! How are you? I take 4 15mg Oxycodone per day but sometimes its green ones & the oblong white ones which dont seem to work as well. I have bad disc's in back, arthritis in all joints & neuropathy pain also. I'm wondering about asking my Dr for non generic meds to see if it's better. Also wondering how much more it would cost on copay? ## Have you thought about getting a fentanyl patch. I also take four 10-325 oxycodone every day. I was taking 6, but I stopped the one in the middle of the day. I also take Baclofen, Diclonefac Sodium, 200 mg six a day. I also get 180 10/325 percosets a month for breakthrough but am worried about my liver because of all th tylenol. A friend of mine who also has severe pain is on fentynal patches and I was wondering which one is better? What I am taking now is beginning to not work as well as it use to. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, drowsiness, dry mouth, and constipation. However, it depends on which medication works best for you and what your doctor feels is safe for you to try. My pharmacy keeps trying to change my generic 10/325 percocet, I always check ahead of time to not get the crappy generics. So I have just been told the ones they have now are oblong, flat, yellow with markings E712 on one side & 10/325 on the other side. & was told they are made by Endo. Do you have any feedback on how good this particular generic is? I have chronic intractable pain so I rely on it for breakthru pain, I am also on 100 pgu Par brand fentanyl patch. ## @glokim, This is just my feedback from reading personal reviews here on MedsChat, but it appears that Endo is widely thought to be one of the better manufacturers of generic Percocet; at least to the extent of many patients here preferring it over other options. On the contrary, each medication can affect each indi...

I have taken Hydrocodone 10/500 for years on and off. Not dependent. The worst side effect was head itching. tolerable. I was off and recently prescribed 10/325. The itching is head to toe unbearable. I have scars from scratching. It lasts for days with very little help from Benadryl 50 mg. every 6 hours. My doctor said Oxycodone 10/325 will be better. I took it after a meal. One to two hours later I am very nauseous. 3-4 hours latter headache and intense itching. 13 hours later I still feel sick from it. When I need pain medication I need it badly. I can't suffer in bed all the time. Help please. what are my alternatives? ## Hello, Bon! How are you? I get pains down my leg usually when the weather changes from warm to cold and when it rains. I have always taken Norgesic Forte as soon as the pain starts and it always takes care of my pain. I can no longer get Norgesic Forte and the substitute my Pharmist told me to ask my Doctor for does not work. What other medications should I ask my Doctor for. I am in pain daily ## Hi Barney, Sorry to hear about your situation. I can't find any information on why norgesic was discontinued, but I think if you were to look into other Rx pain management options, there's always the usual list of narcotics to choose from; Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, Percocet, Norco, Dilaudid, Opana, Fentanyl, etc...Your doctor would probably know better than anyone else, which of these medications might be most a...

I'm very sorry that you're in pain. It could be that this medication doesn't work for you. Not all medications work for everyone that tries them. Have you ever tried Oxycodone? According to the FDA, it's stronger than Morphine and is available in time released formulations that may give you better pain control. However, there's really no way to say when your pain will stop, it can vary from person to person and is highly dependent on how fast you heal and how successful your surgery was. The strongest opiate available would be Fentanyl, it is available in time released patches that you change every 3 days...
