Fenofibrate Alternative Med

I'm having muscle pains which I think are due to taking Fibril. My doctor prescribed this med because my tryglycerides were high. I've had high blood pressure and hypertension for thirty years and take Simvastatin and Blopress plus. My readings for BP are always good. I'm 65, have never smoked and competed to a high level in sports and I am still in the gym everyday. I'm also a non meat eater. Is there a better med for me to take other than Fibril. I read you should not be taking this if you have Hep B. What are the reason? I was prescribe this drug but my doctor did not inform me about not taking it if one has Hep B! I have higher levels of all components from Lipid Profile and low HDL. My total cholesterol is 370mg/dl. I started with Rozavel F 5 after 3weeks I have tremendous pain in my upper back and shoulder. I stopped Rozavel and had muscle relaxants. Then I re started after 2 weeks, I am suffering from continous pain in my triceps and biceps region, its untolerable. For the last 6months, I was on Crestor 20mg and had I was very comfortable. I will ask my doctor to shift me to Crestor, which is also Rosuvastatin 20mg ## If you keep taking medications that contain the same active ingredient, you will probably keep experiencing the same problems. Have you talked to your doctor about trying an alternative medication, such as Fenofibrate?

I had high bp since last 3 years i was on atenolol salt. it helped me but since july 2011 it was not effective. then doctor put me on telmisarton & metoprolol succinate i.e TELZY MT 50 i was also suffering from mild lvh and RBBB. AFTER one month my bp became 120-80 and no other comlications and i am still feeling the same bp 120-80 and feeling normal. ther is no swelling of ankles or anywhere else. but on serum test my creatinine level has increased to 123 and e gfr reduced to 55. in july this was 85 and 95. doctor is of opinion that this is because of this medicine. i also take fenofibrate and atorvastatin i od. kindly advise rise in creatinine with in 6-7 months ## Did your doctor suggest any alternative medications or changing the dosages?
