Femiane Birth Control Pill

Hi, I threw away my last leaflet of my Femaine and I now have taken it 4 hours late yesterday. I can't remember if prior to 12 hours if all is okay or not. Can anyone help? ## Yes, this is just a regular combined hormonal contraceptive, so taking it within 12 hours is fine. :-) Learn more oral contraceptive pill details here. What I do for the medications that I have to take regularly is set up a reminder on my phone, to make sure I never forget a dose. Have you tried doing that? It could make it easier to remember.

I have taken femaine for 3 days and had unprotected intercourse this morning. can the pill already be working even tho I'm just starting for 3 days for the first time? ## I am 48 and on femiane birth control. However i had a period in August but did not take the pill after that, but now I resumed in september on the first day of my period which lasted one day. Have not had intercourse for two months. What's happening?

SIDE EFFECTS ## i was taking femiane for 2 wks i realize that my skin start itching me a lot and i have a lot of bumps on my skin that itchs me really bad. If you started it the third day or later, then you'll need to take it for a full 7 days, before it will become effective at preventing pregnancy. That means a backup form of contraception must be used for the first 7 days, you will be protected on the 8th day. Femaine is a white pill with a 21 day cycle.
