I'm on 10mg of Ramipril,10mg of rosuvastatin,100 mg aspirin and 20mg nexium and feel terrible most days.I had 2 stents 12 months ago and have never had a heart attack. My symtoms are nausea, pains in my arms and neck.Feel more tired, but have no problems with light exercise.Could it be the drug causing this? ## Have you consulted your doctor? Yes, it could be caused from either the Ramipril or the Rosuvastatin and if I had to take a guess, it would be that it's the Rosuvastatin. These statin medications are well known to cause these types of side effects in many people that use them, especially the pain you are experiencing. There are many people that have had to stop taking them due to this problem, or they've had to switch to a different medication. You can learn more here:...

How long did it take your body to adjust to the Lyrica? Meaning, how long does it take for the "stoned out of my mind" feeling to go away? ## I've honestly never heard of this happening to anyone on Lyrica, but I suppose it really does effect each person differently. If you think it might help alleviate some symptoms, I would consider asking your doctor about lowering the dose or changing medications all together. There's no reason anyone should continue taking something that's causing more harm than good. How frequently are you taking it? ## I take 75mgs twice a day. It almost feels like I have taken demerol. ## I started taking Lyrica yesterday, for Periperal Neuropathy, 75 mg. a.m. & p.m. I also have that 'off my face' sensation. Glad it's the weeke...

I just started (5 days ago) 50 mg Vyvanse. Take it in the a.m. Worked great the first 2 days (maybe a little mind over matter) and now I feel unfocused and lethargic (in a fog) like I took Nyquil the night before. Is this common for some people when you first start this drug? ## Yes, others have reported similar experiences when they first started a medication like this. Have you consulted your doctor? You should also check in with them just to make sure that there is nothing else odd going on.

Hi, I am 28 and had eclampsia. I was put on hy-per-tone 250mg three times a day for 6 weeks and now I am on Prytor 45mg. I lost 4kg in two weeks; not sure which medication it was. Now I have sore gums, a lot of saliva in my mouth and my tip of my tongue is numb, I constantly sweat at night and just suddenly get very hot in the day and night. Is it the Prytor causing this?

Hi, I was prescribed fluoxetine to help with Menopausal problems about six months ago. I'm only on a very low dose and they've really helped with my mood. In fact so much so that the happier I am in myself the more I fear death. I suffered with post natal depression with both of my boys and occasionally had an intense fear of dying. I wouldn't say I spend loads of time thinking about it but more than normal I imagine. Does anyone else feel like this? I'm very content with my life and family and logically I know that I shouldn't give it time, life's too short to worry about something you can do nothing about but I can't seem to help it. I'm wondering if I should try and "face it" and think about it more or try and ignore it and carry on being happy...

It's driving me crazy, Doc just looks at me like Im from outer space................please help. Hard to do everyday chores, hard to type this actually...... ## What type of doctor have you been seeing for it? It might be time to switch to a neurologist to get to the root of the problem. I have all respect for GP's, but there knowledge in some areas is pretty limited.

Hello everyone! I've been on suboxone 4 almost 8 years now. Due 2 Oxy addiction and pain. Had many of surgeries and lots of medical problems. Also, on klonopin 4 anxiety and PTSD. I've never had any cravings 2 want 2 use until now . I just had my cat of 14 years put 2 sleep this morning. She had a huge lump in her neck that was stopping her breathing. She was my baby, slept with me every night and followed me every where . I have been crying my eyes out all day and night. What's bothering me is the cravings 2 want 2 use. I don't want 2 ruin my sobriety, but, these feelings r so strong. Has anyone else ever get cravings? Especially during a hard time? And , will they pass soon. I'm sorry if I rambled on, but, needed. 2 ask. ThanksG for your input. ## Hi, Sorry to hear...

I am on 75mg of thyroxine a day but I am still feeling drained, can your levels still change that you need more? ## Hello, Denise! How are you? Yes, you're levels will fluctuate regularly and your dosage will need to be adjusted accordingly. Your doctor should be checking your levels every 3 months, or so. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, hair loss and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hello, I was given gabapentin for unknown nerve disorder. I get shocks all through my body which are very painful. I have many other problems also. Anyway this is my 1st time I took it and it was 300mg. My head feel likes it weighs 500 lbs and I feel like I am heavily drugged and not with it. It is also causing pain on the scar on my head (another story lol ) and my neck. My question is would you keep taking it. They want me to add another pill tomorrow and another (3 total) the next day. I'm thinking I need to just get off them. It didn't really help the zaps too. I would appreciate any feed back ..TY ## Hello, Jmade123! How are you? That's not a normal side effect for Gabapentin, the FDA lists them as typically including nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and weight ...

Hello, I'm on day four of Belviq and I still feel really hungry especially sweets ## Hi Melissa, From what I could gather, Belviq (lorcaserin) is meant to be used together with diet and exercise to treat obesity. However, if you aren't feeling satisfied with your daily caloric intake, it sounds to me like you may need to make some adjustments to the portion sizes that you do eat throughout the day. When it comes to sweets though, I personally find that increasing my protein intake helps cut down on these types of cravings. There are numerous types of whole-food meal replacement bars available at natural grocery stores that are both sweet and also have a higher protein content to help curb your appetite. Additionally, eating more sweet fruits (such as medjool dates) are another e...

Anyone have weird feelings in their chest over 24 hours after taking cialis? I'm having this now and its kinda freaking me out. ## Hello, Ty! How are you? Cialis works by affecting circulation/blood flow, which is why it can also be used to lower blood pressure. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA may include nausea, dizziness, headache, stuffy nose and priapism. It would be best to consult your doctor and have this checked out for your own safety. Are you on any other medications? Do you have any medical conditions?

I have been on Symbicort for the past 2 weeks, 1 dose in the morning and one in the evening. I don't know if this "laid back" feeling I am experiencing is due to this medicine. It feels like I have completely changed my mood since being on this stuff. Is there something in it like a relaxant? ## Hello, Hebegebe! How are you? Has there been any change? This medication contains Budesonide and Formoterol. Typically, it can cause nervousness, anxiety and insomnia, as side effects according to the FDA. However, there is almost always a few rare people who will experience the opposite with any given medication. Unless your doctor thinks there is some reason to be concerned, there is likely nothing to worry about. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi Verwon, thank you so m...

My son has just started taking Intuniv, he has slept all day. I have a friend that talks very highly about this medicine, but I just do not like him sleeping so much. His Aderal was working fine, we had a problem with getting refills on it, and I would like him to gain some weight! I just don't know if I can deal with him sleeping so much, if he is still sleepy after two more days, I am going to try another option. ## When my son started Intuniv, he was so tired as well. It really bothered me. Hang in there, after a good month his body got totally adjusted to it, and all that napping went away. You can give it at night until his body gets used to it. We did that for a while then switched back to am dosing. Now it seems like its not working and we are increasing his dose over the wee...

Went to the ER twice in one night 10 days ago for an all of a sudden feeling of flushing from head to toe and just generally feeling weird. First visit resulted in a TSH of 18.5. I was told I was experiencing hypothyroidism. I've been on levothyroxine for approximately 8+ years. Had my thyroid removed for a goiter that turned out to be thyroid cancer about 9 years ago. Dose of levothyroxine has been adjusted over the years, but I've never experienced anything like I was feeling that night. Second visit to ER, the doctor increased my levothyroxine to 150mcg and gave me a prescription for xanax. I have not been able to sleep since that night. Severe, severe insomnia. This morning was my 9th day on the increased dose if levothyroxine. I'm just starting to feel like myself to a ...

I just wanted to let people know that if you take Chantix AS PRESCRIBED, you won't get sick. Make sure you eat right before you take the pill and make sure you drink that full glass of water. Chantix is working great for me. Finished my first week. Nice not to stink anymore! ## Hello, Charlene! How are you? Congrats on the smoking cessation, that's tough! As to getting sick, I'm very glad that it's not making you ill, but even eating and taking it with a full 8 ounces of water may not prevent it for everyone, unfortunately. Everyone reacts different to medications, so some may experience the side effects more intensely. How long have you been taking it? ## I have been taking it about 2 weeks now. At times I feel as if I am going to go into a-fib..you know the feeling you get that something is just not right.I had this feeling the few times I was in afib. Since starting multaq I have only had a few minutes of afib and this was in stressful situations where a family member died. My doctor said this feeling is part of the disease where you feel like you might go into it but, the med is doing its job and stopping it. Of course this is great, but, that feeling that come is frightening to me. At that point I want to panic. I was completely healthy until Feb of this year when I was 911 to ER for afib. I converted and am in normal sinus now and the multaq I guess is doing the job. I had flutter now and again before the big afib attack, but, didn't think anything about it. ## I have ...

I stopped taking Effexor 75 mg on Tuseday and started Zoloft 100 mg on Wednesday. I felt sick all day life the flu, I then took 100 Zoloft on Thursday and still feel sick, and I did throw up earlier. I really feel like I'm going through withdrawals from something. I am also taking 50 mg of Trazodone. I started that this Wednesday. I have been on 1 mg of Klonopin for years. What is going on? ## Ideally, it would have been best to slowly taper down on the Effexor, while going up on the dose of the Zoloft. Since you didn't do that, you just stopped taking it, you are likely experiencing some withdrawal/rebound effects. Learn more Zoloft details here. Have your symptoms improved any?
