I am hypertensive and on medication. I am also taking Febuget 40 as of the last 3 months. No relief is noticed and my uric acid level is not coming down below 6gm%. Please advise what to do? What tests should I do to know my kidney status? ## You may have insulin resistance which may be the cause for hypertension. Please check RBS, Lipid profile, Serum Insulin, Serum copper and Serum zinc. ## I have been feeling acute pain in my knees and back. As per diagnosis I have 5.6 uric acid. hi, i am 35.3 male, have kidney disease (CKD2)& BP. Both under medication TELMA 40(1-0-0), amlogard5 (1-0-1) , moxovas 0.2 (0-1-0), febuget 40(0-0-1). in past once patassium increased > 6 but that time diet was not followed. Now low protein+low potassium (each 40 gm per day) & above medication startred. My question is whether above medicines are safe speicaly TELMA 40 that is generaly having tendency to increase potassium

I am a 63 year old Indian (Asian) male. I have been taking medications for high BP for the past 15 years. Currently I am taking - Coversyl AM 4/5, Lorvas SR, Angispan TR 2.5 mg, Clopitab 75 mg, Nefrosave, Febuget 40 mg. In the last 6 months (Aug 2013 to Feb 2014) my urea level has gone up from 55 to 100, uric acid from 3.0 6.0 and serum creatinine remained at 2.0. Electrolytes continue to remain within the range. I do not observe any physical changes such as swelling of feet or tiresomeness. I am agile and active. Could you please suggest a way out to keep my urea within the range? I am a strict vegetarian and don't even eggs. Do you suggest any restrictions on specific vegetables. I hv kidney disease and due to that high BP. Both in control with medicatation.Right now my creatinine is 1.66, urea 33 with electrolytes in normal range. From last 2 months my drug for BP & renal is changed to stamlo beta 50/5(1-0-1) & Febuget40 to control BP/uric acid. Before that i was taking Temla R5(1-0-1), Telma R5 changed because potassium increased to >6 so doc advised to take stamlo beta instead telma r5. From last 3-4 months, I am getting leg restless in both legs and low back pain rather restlessness. So I consulted with orthopadic one week before.he prescribed to take ultracet (1-0-1) and Nervemax (0-0-1). Hi, I am 35.2 yr male & suffering from kidney diesease(creatine level 1.6,urea 33) due to that got high BP since yr sep-2007.Till then I am continue on medications. I was well in control with medicines Lasix 40Mg(1-0-0) ,Telsartan R5(1-0-1), Metstamlo 50/5(1-0-1) from sep2007 to june2010.Later, in yr 2012, Telsartan R5 replaced with Telma R5 and metstamlo stopped and instead Febuget 40 started for uric acid control. In june 2013 during routine check up got potassium level high (>6), then doc advised to stop Telma R5 as well. Now with 2nd doc (nephrology) option I am taking Stamlo Beta(1-0-1), moxovas(0-1-0), Febuget 40(0-0-1),Acigerd DSR(1-0-1),Ketostril(2-2-2). Ketorolac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, so it may help with the pain and swelling of gout, but it will not treat the underlying issue of excess uric acid that causes it. Try Zyloric 100 mg, it is really effective to reduce the level of uric acid.

I have sr.Cretanine of. 1.81 and uric acid 9.8. my doctor has prescribed Nefrosave Forte , one Tab. Twice a day and Febuget40 once daily besides medicines to treat hypertension. Will it strengthen my kidney function?
