I am hypertensive and on medication. I am also taking Febuget 40 as of the last 3 months. No relief is noticed and my uric acid level is not coming down below 6gm%. Please advise what to do? What tests should I do to know my kidney status? ## You may have insulin resistance which may be the cause for hypertension. Please check RBS, Lipid profile, Serum Insulin, Serum copper and Serum zinc. ## I have been feeling acute pain in my knees and back. As per diagnosis I have 5.6 uric acid. I AM SUFFERING WITH GOUT (10) PL SUGGEST FEBUGET-40 DOSEGE DAILY. ## take 80 mg and along with bio-d3 max ## Yes, this medication is often used to treat gout, because it can lower the levels of uric acid in the blood, to help prevent gout attacks. Sun Pharmaceuticals lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, fever, diarrhea, joint pain and muscle cramps. Is there anything else I can help with?

hi, i am 35.3 male, have kidney disease (CKD2)& BP. Both under medication TELMA 40(1-0-0), amlogard5 (1-0-1) , moxovas 0.2 (0-1-0), febuget 40(0-0-1). in past once patassium increased > 6 but that time diet was not followed. Now low protein+low potassium (each 40 gm per day) & above medication startred. My question is whether above medicines are safe speicaly TELMA 40 that is generaly having tendency to increase potassium

I am a 63 year old Indian (Asian) male. I have been taking medications for high BP for the past 15 years. Currently I am taking - Coversyl AM 4/5, Lorvas SR, Angispan TR 2.5 mg, Clopitab 75 mg, Nefrosave, Febuget 40 mg. In the last 6 months (Aug 2013 to Feb 2014) my urea level has gone up from 55 to 100, uric acid from 3.0 6.0 and serum creatinine remained at 2.0. Electrolytes continue to remain within the range. I do not observe any physical changes such as swelling of feet or tiresomeness. I am agile and active. Could you please suggest a way out to keep my urea within the range? I am a strict vegetarian and don't even eggs. Do you suggest any restrictions on specific vegetables. hi, i am 36 male, have kidney disease (CKD2)& BP. My creatine level is 1.6/1.7, blood urea near 35,uric acid near 6 & potesium near 4.0 with other renal tests. Hemoglobin near 13.5 For this the medicine prescribed as below 1) Lasix 20 mg (1-0-0) 2) TELMA 40(1-0-0), 3) TELMA 20 (0-0-1) 4) amlogard 2.5 (0-1-0) 5) febuget 40(0-0-1) (A/d) (( for uric acide alternate day)) In past my patassium was increased > 6 but that time diet was not followed. Now with relatively low protein+low potassium diet My question is whether above medicines are safe in a long term, as I heared TELMA is generaly having tendency to increase potassium levels. appreciate your reply on this.Many thanks

Hi, I am 35.2 yr male & suffering from kidney diesease(creatine level 1.6,urea 33) due to that got high BP since yr sep-2007.Till then I am continue on medications. I was well in control with medicines Lasix 40Mg(1-0-0) ,Telsartan R5(1-0-1), Metstamlo 50/5(1-0-1) from sep2007 to june2010.Later, in yr 2012, Telsartan R5 replaced with Telma R5 and metstamlo stopped and instead Febuget 40 started for uric acid control. In june 2013 during routine check up got potassium level high (>6), then doc advised to stop Telma R5 as well. Now with 2nd doc (nephrology) option I am taking Stamlo Beta(1-0-1), moxovas(0-1-0), Febuget 40(0-0-1),Acigerd DSR(1-0-1),Ketostril(2-2-2). I'm looking for information the uses and side effects of Lupiclor 12.5mg. ## Lupiclor contains the active ingredient Chlorthalidone, which is a diuretic that's commonly used to help treat conditions such as high blood pressure, congestive heart failure and edema. Side effects may include: nausea, headache, dehydration and dizziness. Has this been prescribed for you? ## Yes. It is prescribed for me. Now I am taking Febuget 40 mg instead of that. Is it fine? ## Is Lupiclor 12.5mg, in a way, a substitute for Beta Blockers?

Hi, during recent health check, we found high level of uric acid (8.3). Doctor prescibed me Febuget 40 once a day. My question is: Can I and should control this from Diet ? what all precautions (what should be eaten and what not).
