Hi, I've been tapering down my morphine from 400mg morphine sulfate. 3600 gabapentin and 60 mg of duloxatine, I started in October/November because of side effects like sweating and kept on crashing out for days. I'm now down to 120 mg morphine and 1800 mg of gaba and 30 mg of duloxatine and I'm still so fatigued. I'm living mostly on my bed at the moment and I can't fathom it, Is the dose of motphine still too high? I'm in a little pain but most of all I'm quite stressed as this condition has changed my life. Any input I would be thankful for. ## Hello, Del! How are you? Tiredness and fatigue can be a side effect of these medications, as reported by the FDA, they can also be withdrawal effects. You may just need to give it time. Once you are on a steady dose...

I was put on xarelto 5 days ago for a clot in my leg. They can't figure why I got it. So are testing for all sorts of things. As a mother of three I am very busy and the xarelto seems to be making me even more tired and my stomach looks like I'm 8months prego again!!!!! Why is this happening? I heard this drug is way better than any other. What will I and all the others do if its doing all these awful side affects. P.s I'm scared to see what my period will be like.! Anyone else's get worse? ## Hello, Dee! How are you doing? I'm very sorry about the problems that you've been having. Those can be side effects of this medication, many people have been complaining about similar experiences and a lot had to switch to different medications. And yes, there have been rep...

I am taking Diltiazem ER 180 mg a day for atrial fibrillation. My question is whether I can take this in the evening so it does not make me so tired during the day? Thanks. ## Hi Charlie, Based on my research, the dosing indications for Diltiazem ER don't actually specify whether or not you're supposed to take it during the day or at night. It only mentions taking it "once daily" and doesn't really go into any further detail from there. So in my opinion, it sounds like it should be fine to take it at night as long as you remain consistent with one particular approach. Initially, it's also possible that you may feel a slight difference from altering the timing of your dose, but everything should level out shortly thereafter. I hope this helps! ## Hello, Charlie! I've been on xarelto for 2 months following dvt in my leg. I take 20 mg a day. In addition to almost constant headaches I now feel faint, tired, and my pinky finger feels numb. I really do not feel well. I would like to switch to Coumadin which I took many years ago after my first dvt and pe. Any one else experience similar symptoms? ## Hello, Jojo! How are you? Yes, many people have experience such side effects from Xarelto and they are listed among those that are commonly expected by the FDA. You may also experience joint/muscle aches, increased risk of bleeding and easy bruising. However, Coumadin risks causing very similar side effects, plus it requires the regular INR testing, which you don't have to do with Xarelto. How long you will be taking it? ## Can you take vitamin B...

I have started taking pristiq about 6 weeks ago and I have noticed in the last week or so that I have been extremely fatigued. Could this be due to the pristiq? ## Pristiq contains the active ingredient Desvenlafaxine, it is an SNRI class antidepressant and yes, it can cause drowsiness and fatigue as a side effect. Generally, side effects should hit their peak around 4 to 6 weeks of use, the time it usually takes for a medication to reach its full effectiveness in the body. After that, they should start to taper off in severity, as your body gets used to the medication. However, if it is a severe problem, then you should contact your doctor, as this may not be the right medication for you. Learn more: Are there any other questions? ## i know this is a old post but i been on pristiq near...

I was on Angeliq 1/2 for 7 weeks and it was fantastic. My sweats had gone and I felt good and my aches and pains felt better. I then got a bad chest infection and fatigue set in. I am just not sure if it is the flu or the Angeliq that has caused the extreme fatigue I am now suffering. Would Angeliq cause fatigue 7 weeks into taking it? I have stopped it to see how I go. ## I am not a doctor, but my best guest would be that the fatigue is most likely due to the flu, or whatever viral illness you are suffering. The NIH does warn that you might experience it, when ill with one, along with headache, nausea, and dizziness. Do you take any other medications? What dosage of Angeliq do you currently take? ## am on Angeliq 1/2. I am feeling a little better but have severe pains in my back and ri...

Whenever I travel, I feel extremely fatigued. This causes sleep problem and I take alzolam 0.5mg (alprazolam) for that. Sometime when I am too tired, I take 1mg. This gives me good sleep of 5hours or so. If I do not take it , the next day is terrible and mind is not focused. I want to know if there are better available medicines in India to minimize the traveling fatigue which can be taken without significant side effects. ## I am not sure what is available in India. Have you tried consulting a doctor? Jet lag, when traveling, is perfectly normal and most people experience it to some degree, especially when crossing time zones and, for some reason, it is much more severe, when going West to East. ## I believe everyone responds to sleep-aids differently. I have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. Have suffered with both for years. There are times when I don't have enough energy to get out of bed for days. Plus, sleep for 24 to 36 hrs straight. Only to go to bathroom then back to sleep. I have no quality of life. Used to travel for my career and never stopped. This doing nothing is not me. Second time around for DVT in my legs this yr. The first time three yrs ago, I was on Coumadin for a yr and recovered well. This time on Xarelto. I felt OK for a couple of months, but now heavy exertion is not possible because of fatigue. I am suspecting that Xarelto is messing with my blood chemistry somehow to cause fatigue. Is this a known side effect? I now take 20mg a day. Would reducing to 10mg help? Or should I be on something else? ## Hi Jim, Sorry to hear about your situation. According to the US National Library of Medicine, "unusual tiredness or weakness" is listed on the side effect profile for Xarelto. The only strange thing I'm finding is that they have this side effect under a category called "Incidence not known". Perhaps it's been reported by oth...

Feeling so tired on Cardizem. Doc said I shouldn't be. Is fatigue a possible side effect? ## Yes, it is actually one of the most common possible side effects that the FDA warns about. Other side effects may include edema, nausea, dizziness, headache, and hypotension. However, the tiredness can also be a symptom of your blood pressure dropping too low, dehydration, or just your body adjusting to your blood pressure being lowered. Are you on any other medications? How long have you been taking it?

I have been on Cymbalta for years now for depression and it works. My only problem is I have fatigue in the morning and afternoon, and its most common after eating. I have been diagnosed with mild sleep apnea and use a machine, but the fatigue will still be there. I have high blood pressure and thyroid issues. I have talked to doctor after doctor. I eat healthy and I exercise in the morning. I lost weight, and I still feel the fatigue. I don't drink caffeine, so coffee is not an option. This morning was worse, as I felt like I needed to get out and run around my car ## That can be a normal side effect of this medication, but it could also be due to depression and other health issues, according to NIH studies. Yes, kidney stones can be a risk of taking Topamax, as listed by the FDA, along with nausea, dizziness and drowsiness. Have you consulted your doctor? There are several other medications that you can try. Have they ever evaluated the kidney stones to make sure they are due to the medication and not some other issue?

Hello, Hope someone can help. I take Xarelto everyday with dinner to treat a DVT. I've been on it 4 months. Is this a known side effect?
