The 18 hour overnight fast information is a contradiction in itself. This post then goes on to say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. On a 'regular' working day, you would have to stop eating at around 6ish, assuming you would wake at 6ish the next morning to start your working day. You would then not be able to have 'breakfast' until 12ish, which is supposed to be the biggest meal of the day, according to the info. Your dinner, before 6 has to be a smaller meal, with maybe a snack in between. Of course, anyone who kept this up and did not eat for 18 hours a day would lose weght. We would all be doing it, if it were that easy!

Has anyone tried fasting on the day before taking Enbrel? I heard it works for Methotrexate but I was wondering if it worked to lessen the nausea after injecting Enbrel? ## Hello Mary, I've looked all over but I can't seem to find anywhere that supports this idea, not even from forums dedicated to discussing Enbrel. I was able to find a forum on the "livingwithpsoriaticarthritis" organization website that discusses the matter of nausea but most users state that this only happens for the first few shots and subsides within a few hours. In regards to your specific question of fasting before the injection I would advise you discuss this matter with your doctor first to ensure that it is safe and will have no negative effects on you. If your doctor gives you the go ahead I s...

I'm fasting and on a low dose of hydrocodone 5mg once or twice a day. Is this safe? I'm only fasting twice a week, water only. ## Hello, Clarice! How are you? Ideally, this medication should be taken with food, taking it on an empty stomach can cause you to experience more severe side effects, including the nausea, and dizziness, that it can cause, according to the FDA. This medication also carries the risk of being habit forming. What you are fasting so frequently? ## Clarice, Hi hydrocodone can be harsh on your stomach so ideally it should be taken with food to lessen any gastroentestinal distress effects it may cause. Dosage or strength has little to do with the eventual propensity it has to cause unpleasant side effects.Something light like crackers or toast seems to work fo...

Last year my wife had a miscarriage due to Large omphalocele, and all taste are normal but fasting sugar 104. This month my doctor advised my wife to take ecosprin 75mg before pregnency for three months. What is role of ecosprin 75mg in pregnancy and fasting sugar? ## First off, a fasting sugar of 104 isn't bad, normal levels are between 80 to 120. Has she asked her doctor why he advised her to use it? Ecosprin contains Aspirin, it will not do anything for her sugar levels, it is nonsteroidal anti-inflammator that is used to relieve pain, fever, swelling and for its blood thinning properties. Side effects may include: nausea, dizziness, headache and stomach irritation. ## How can i increase metabolism rate for fat burn, my weight is 95 Kg, Age 29 Year ## Eating Curd atleast in the L...

will taking vicodin interfere with fasting laboratory test? ## Hello, Maggie! How are you? What is being tested? It may affect the results of some tests, but not all. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## Hi, I was pulled over on a suspended license. I had just taken three lortabs right when I got pulled over. I made them get a warrant for my blood because he thought that I was taking something that day and I haven't since that morning had 2 lortab tens. If you're diabetic, that means your food and beverages have a direct effect on your health. Anything that's extremely starchy or sweet will raise your blood sugar levels. my fasting sugar ranges between 98-108 and 2 hours after food it comes between 120-140. for previous 2 months i have been taking the tables glycomet.I am doing exercise on daily basis apart form swimming. can i discontinue the medicine ## Have you consulted your doctor about this? When you are diabetic, it is very important that you discuss such issues, with your doctor, before stopping any medication. Out of control blood sugar levels can cause serious medical complications. At this point, while your readings have improved, it could be because the medication is doing its job and if you stop taking it, they may steadily start to rise, again.

Details of test are fasting sugar 145 after breakfast 175 before lunch 148 after lunch 167 before dinner 177 after dinner 220 at 3am 214.Doctor prescribed semi amaryl before food, ziten 20/500 ,carbophage 2and tazloc 20 1.Whether this will OK or cause side effect. Please clarify ## All medications carry the risk of causing side effects, that is just the nature of how it works, when you add a chemical to the body to try to rectify a problem. However, if you do not take the prescribed medications, high blood sugar can be deadly, so there is far less risk to dealing with the possible side effects. The U.S. FDA lists them as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain, flatulence, and hypoglycemia. Is there anything else I can help with?

After eating and fasting I experienced vomiting so Pan-D tablet when to use for prevention of vomiting?? ## This medication is used to help prevent the production of stomach acid, to treat, or prevent conditions such as heartburn, GERD, ulcers and gastritis. It will not prevent nausea, and vomiting. As a matter of fact, according to NIH reports, it could cause nausea, vomiting, and stomach pain as side effects. Has your doctor instructed you to take this medication? Are you on any other medications?

With Gimaday Forte, My fasting sugar is 145 & PP sugar is 128.My HBA1c is 6.5.What should I do to bring down my fasting sugar to with in normal limits? ## Glimaday Forte contains the active ingredients Glipizide and Metformin, which are oral antidiabetic medications, used to help lower and control blood sugar. As to the fasting blood sugar, how long were you fasting? It is normal, when someone is a diabetic and fasts for a long period of time, for their blood sugar to raise, as the body is trying to then burn existing sugar stores for energy and a reading of 145 is not really unusual in such instances. A prolonged fast caused a kind of bouncing with blood sugar levels. After an initial period of time, your sugar will start to drop, but then it will eventually raise up, when, as I st...
