Does anyone have a problem with Blue Cross/Blue Shield HMO Blue Covering their script? ## So far,I haven't found an insurance that will help with script?...am still researching. ## i was recently diagnosed with adult adhd and experienced the same problem. My dr wanted to prescribe me Vyvanse b/c I have insomnia w/o taking any meds and most of the stimulants keep you up but Vyvanse wears off around 8 hrs or so. Anyway, blue cross blue shield said I was "too old" to be prescribed the medicine and needed to get a pre-authorization. The pharmacist told me they usually take a long time to approve it. I went back to my pdoc and she gave me Focalin instead. They don't cover this either but the generic was only $45 vs the Vyvanse which was $205. I only took it for one day so far...

From the moment I started taking Chantix it was almost like I didnt think about smoking for the 1st week I would have about 3 cig a day and going from a pack and half to two a day thats pretty darn good. I do have some side affects, I get naueous in the morning but I find if I drink a glass of water first it goes away quicker I also have weird dreams but not necessarially bad, and loss of appetite, I also seem to be calmer, which I think is a good thing. Everyone will react differently to every kind of medication, Im just happy that my side effects are not like some. ## I took it for 3 weeks. It targets the area where you get the pleasure of smoking fro...

A small round white pill that is blank on one side and on the other it has an F over 2. ## Hello, Whit! How are you? I'm sorry, but I haven't been able to find a listing for this tablet, so far. I think it may be an over the counter product of some type. Where was it found? Some over the counter products are regional, so knowing the general location may help to narrow it down. I'll keep looking and post back, when I have information for you. Does anyone else recognize this tablet? ## That would be a 1MG fluoride chewable tablet. ## I believe it is that! Thanks!

Accidentally, took 40 mg. of prednisone. How do I taper off the drug now? ## Hi Judy, If you overdosed on your medication and are concerned about the possible ramifications of having done so, I would encourage you to call the American Association of Poison Control at: 1 (800) 222-1222. Better safe than sorry, right? As far as a tapering plan goes, this is really something you and your doctor should work closely on developing in order to ensure that the instructions are tailored to your medical history and other pertinent/personal information. There is no one size fits all when it comes to starting or stopping any medication. I just hope you're feeling alright by now.

Been taking Belvic for about two weeks now. I am not diabetic, do not take any drugs for anything and so far, I think Belvic is amazing!!! I am over the BMI norm...46 to be excact, and I have had NO craving for food at all. I now have to teach myself what foods I need to eat and size up the portions. Never in my life have I felt this way. One little problem though. I recently developed an URI (upper respiratory infection)which is probaby making me weak. I do experience very small off/on headaches. I do certainly think this is worth it though. I will see my Dr. next week for the first f/u. So far I have lost 20 lbs. I also learned how to make my treadmill work....plug it in and stand on it..... ## Hello, Wiznap66! How are you? I'm very glad that this medication is working for you, so...

pill for iron deficiency, anemia maybe otc ## ferrous sulfate ## In regards to these, this is just the chemical name for an iron supplement, there are both prescription and non-prescription supplements that are available. The appropriate one depends on how low someone's iron levels are, when tested. And there are also some conditions where adding additional iron is contraindicated and too much of it can be very dangerous, so please check with your doctor, before adding it. It can also cause side effects, such as nausea, joint aches, darkened stool and constipation. Are there any comments or questions?

How much is too much? I've been realizing I'm taking higher and higher doses. I need help. How much is considered an overdose? ## I know what you mean, but the term overdose itself is explanatory. Anytime you take more of the prescribed dose is an overdose and you risk adverse reactions. It's a gamble each time. I know it's easier said than done, but if you need an adjustment, it's best to talk to your physician. I know that sounds very stuck up and not understanding but I do. I speak from experience that running out early is far worse than needing that adjustment to a higher dose. I wish they could adjust mine but because I'm on the max amount of opioids allowed they won't let me. They said pick your handicap - is it anxiety or is it pain? ## Robaxin is a mu...

My Doctor is recommending Farxiga along with Metformin to lower my A1C. I'm a little afraid to try it. Has anyone taken it? ## Hello, Nancy! How are you? Exactly why are you afraid to try it? If you can post back and be specific about what side effects or risks concern you, I'll be glad to find information on them for you and help you. :-) The normal side effects can include nausea, sore throat, back pain and flu like symptoms. ## I have an A1C of 7.7 - it was as low as 6.3 when I first went on Metformin. I take 3 a day - tried a 4th one but made me little queasy. So she suggested the Farxiga and when I said yes to it I thought she was switching me not adding another med. Anyway I went home to research it and the bladder cancer bothers me, along with the major complaints about t...

I took too many Norcos on accident in the morning. Am I ok now as far as od'ing? I took several 10/325 tablets. ## Can you die from Norco withdrawal? I almost did. If I didn't believe in the Lord, heaven and hell, I would have just died. That's how sick I am, cause I was given placebos from Walgreens. They are being sued now. I'm ready to go to court. I took a drug panel and it's not in my system. ## To the original poster, how did that happen? Did you mix it up with a different medication? The biggest danger there is possibly overdosing on the Acetaminophen, which you can read about on Medline Plus. You have to be extremely careful not to exceed 1,000mgs of it per dose, or 3,000mgs per day. An Acetaminophen overdose can be fatal, if not treated immediately, and succ...

After roughly 6 years of taking Dexilant 60mg my insurance will no longer cover it. Are there any OTC medications I can use to take its place? Keep in mind Dexilant is the only one that's worked thus far. ## I take lansoprazole 30mg each day. works great. it is covered by my drug company insurance. ## Regarding Dexilent, try Canada Drugs. Most drugs are much lower in price. Despite what Big Pharma says (they use scare tactics) it is safe. Check out the Canada Drugs website, or call them. They will explain the tightly controlled supply chain, and where they obtain their supply. Example: My husband saves $500.00 on Epi Pen. ## What other medications have you tried? There are several available over the counter, or as generics, that are much cheaper, but given your vague post, it is har...

My boyfriend of 2 years started took Chantix for 6 weeks but has been off it for 2 weeks now. I asked him to quit because in that 6 weeks he slowly became detached and cold towards me and it turned into almost hatred. He wants to leave our beautiful horse farm to go live in an apartment. We had an amazing relationship and wrete planning on marriage soon until Chantix got in his system. I have over a 100 almost exact stories like mine from the effects of Chantix. Has anyone experienced this and does your loved one ever come back and snap out of this depression? I'm afraid he will never see what this stuff has done. Is there hope? ## Hello, Sasha! How is your boyfriend doing? I am very sorry about what has happened. These types of medications have been known to cause such problems in ...

What to do when a 60 year old male takes an APO 020 (20mg) not prescribed to him? He has been taking 2-3 pills at least once a day for 3-4 days. His symptoms are dry cough, fever, earaches, fatigue, vomiting, black stuff and leg cramps. ## Call poison control or his doctor ASAP. APO 020 Omeprazole is not one of those common "recreational" drugs so he should not get in trouble for it, and they can tell you the appropriate course of treatment. As far as treating GERD (I assume that's what he is taking it for??), he may also wish to consider Apple Cider Vinegar supplementation in the future as long as his doctor says it's okay. My mom was able to get herself off the Omeprazole permanently by incorporating ACV into her diet. Hope this helps and best wishes!

I was a pack a day smoker (sometimes more) until last May of 2008. I decided to quit and I did by using Nicorette gum. Well, needless to say, I became addicted to the gum. That sort of defeats the purpose of quitting or atleast getting away from the nicotine addiction. About 5 months into my journey with the gum I began chipping or cheating with the smokes again. Finding little excuses to do it like us smokers do. Sure enough about 6 months of chipping at it lead me right back to a pack a day. I tolerated myself for a few weeks, but I am destined to quit, so I asked the doc for Chantix. I read up about it before I did, and I asked him his opinion and he said he recommends it. So I started the stuff Monday 3-3-09 and today is day 9 for me...I quit smoking by wednesday 3-5-09. I didn'...

I have heard good and bad about this medication. I am on my 13d ay of Chantix and other then some weird dreams I'm doing pretty good. I haven't smoke for 4 days now. I did smoke after my first week but it tasted horrible and gave me a upset stomach. If you do smoke after the 7th day you may regret it! I don't take Chantix with any other meds so the side effects have been OK. Not wanting to kill myself or anyone else but it feels good not smoking and being able to breather after 20 years! ## Congratulations! I am very glad to hear that it is working so well for you. Do you have any other tips and tricks that helped you that you can post and share with our users?

Is Voveran safe to use during one's pregnancy? ## Voveran is listed as containing the active ingredient Diclofenac, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory and these aren't usually recommended during pregnancy. They cause an increased risk of bleeding and so far, they've also not been able to rule out it possibly causing risks to the baby. Did the patients doctor prescribe this knowing she was pregnant? ## I had an intravenous inj. of Voveran 2-3 days ago, and now there is severe pain at the site, to the point where I cannot walk. Could the pain be related to the way it was administered or could there be some other reason? Is there any possibility of this causing other issues in the body? ## Does this medication help alleviate gout symptoms?
