Just wanted to let everyone know my experience with ro-accutane so far. Started on the medicine for cystic acne caused by stress from work. Very good cleared up in about a month but have to follow out my 9 month course recommended by my specialist. Side effects I have experienced so far: -Extremely dry lips to a point that they split on the sides and I find it difficult to eat any foods at all -constant dry eyes like sand in them -red skin -extreme sensitivity to the sun - extreme weight gain 12kgs in 6 months - mood swings - angry/aggressive - panic attacks - anxiety towards everything - distance from everyone - antisocial - crying over the silliest things - lost all interest in things I used to love - irregular periods every two weeks - but now haven't had it for 7 weeks - can...

I have numerous health issues..Currently A Fib, a ruptured bakers cyst and torn miniscus, hernia and buldging lumbar disk...I've had three back surgerys to include 2 fusions..Severe Spinal Stenosis has added to the unbearable pain...In addition I've had my left upper lung lobe removed due to cancer. My heart doctor keeps changing my medication from Metoprolol to Eliquis to Cardizem with Bumetanide and now Trianterene because of side affects...I was taken off Eliquis 2 days ago after being on it for one month...I got a rash of approx. 80 purple headed eruptions on my legs as well as lost my eyebrows. This is the 2nd day of Trianterene. I'm in extreme pain all over. My spine is so inflamed and tight. My right leg was not affected with pain as it is today. The left leg has the ...

I am a 41 year old Family Doctor who requires 2 seizure medications. Topamax 200mg BID has been my mainstay for almost a decade. I have tried (in addition) Depakote, Lamictal and several others. Now Keppra. Although my seizures are controlled, I have developed the most severe cystic acne I have ever seen. Face, ears, neck, chest...incredibly painfully. These cysts have started blocking my tear ducts--my eyes are terribly swollen in the morning. I feel the tracts of these cysts up both nostrils. I have tried everything over the counter, all prescription remedies (Retin-A, minocycline, doxycycline) All to no avail. In addition to the acne, I (who consider myself an even-tempered, non-confrontational human) have become the most hostile, angry person....to the point I cannot stand myself. H...

I have been on Trintillex for several years now. I do not have any side effects. I did have headaches and dry mouth in the first several months. This medication changed my life for the better, I am me again. I recently became quite sick with what I'm hoping is a cold. I did have to start an antibiotic/antifungal medication today with a cyst that ruptured. My question is, what can I take to help my cold, itchy dry eyes, itchy throat, dry cough, sneezing and itchy/painful ear? ## Hi Stellar, Sorry to hear about the symptoms you're experiencing. Interestingly enough, NIH.gov lists "itching" as a side effect of Vortioxetine (the active ingredient in Brintillex/Trintillex). It doesn't specifically say where the itching could occur, but that may be something to keep in min...

I have severe chronic pain in my back, hip, right buttock, thigh, knee, calf, foot. Much like Siatica but much worse as all nerves below injury site in mid to lower back are effected. For example,in my right thigh both the outer cystic nerve & the inner nerve that runs just under your carotid artery to the inner side of your knee are both equally severely painful. I have had a myriad of major surgeries, none least ng less than 7 1/2 hours & the 1st over 13 hours with 2 neurosurgeons working. It was in this surgery that I actually woke up, eyes were taped, on stomach, rear end in air, unabated, I just remember hearing the Anesthesiologist yelling oh s**" he's awake, I was screaming in unbelievable pain & trying yo pull out the tube that felt like it was chocking me, I...

I acquired P. HYOSCYAM in a large antique looking tin and am wondering if anyone can provide further information on it? I was told it could possibly be from the civil war era. ## Hello, Ben! How are you? Yes, it is most likely very old. Hyoscyamine is an antispasmodic that is used to treat conditions, such as IBS, peptic ulcers, pancreatitis and cystitis. It is not very commonly used, anymore. Though, it is still available in the U.S. via prescription. Typical side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include dry mouth, dry throat, eye pain, blurred vision, dizziness and flushing. It can be toxic, if someone takes too much, so it has to be dosed very carefully. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I seriously doubt the pills are from the civil war era. The tin possibly is f...

I am 82 and had UTI from the 1st of April. By 16th April , not better, I needed to start on my third lot of Nitrofurantoin. That day I became very ill. My symptoms lasted three days and nights. Every joint was aching. My arm was as sore as if I had bumped it. I hadn't. It hurt to turn my eyes. I had trigeminal pains and my head was aching. I was being sick although I had an empty stomach.the frightening thing was I was shuddering so violently. my arms were jerking uncontrollably. I have never felt so weak and exhausted. The day I stopped taking the medication was the day those symptoms subsided leaving me totally exhausted and weak. How long will it take to get over this. I am taking my last doses of Pivmecillinam today and can tell that the Cystitis has gone , but I am so short of ...
