Never open this bottle, brand new. Can I still use this? Expiration date is 3/2014 ## Hello, Sha! How are you? Since this is a supplement, rather than an actual drug, I do not have information on its stability available. Have you tried contacting the manufacturer to check? Are they capsules or tablets? ## Vitamins are generally safe and still effective to take up to 1 year past expiration date if they were stored properly. ## I have a bottle of b12 never opened exited 1 year been stored in cool dark place want to know if i can still can still use it

The expiration date is 2/2/16 and it is unopened. Would it still be good to use? ## Not likely! Liquid formulations tend to go bad faster than other forms, plus they can turn and may make you sick, if you try to use them. It would be best to dispose of it and obtain a new supply. The FDA wants that the typical side effects include nausea and administration site irritation. Is there anything else I can help with?

bought B12 at GMC it does not have the lot number or expiration date to know if this bottle is still good or not. ## Hi Isabel, If you recently bought your B12 from 'GNC' without a lot number or expiration date, I would encourage you to go back and check their other bottles to see if they list anything as well. In the event that none of them do, perhaps it would also be a good idea to contact the manufacturer who makes this product directly, by looking up their name online and retrieving the company's contact info that way. If this turns into a dead end, maybe you can get GNC to refund your money for a product that has no expiration details that allow customers to evaluate its long term safety/efficacy. I know stores like Vitamin Shoppe allow customers to make a return/excha...

How long will B12 remain usable past the expiration date? ## When it comes to vitamins I think it is best to not take any chances with the past expiration date if it's been more than a few weeks to a month. They MAY still be ok to take if they haven't been exposed to a high amount of heat or various other conditions outside of the bottle, however I am not a pharmacist or MD, so I cannot guarantee if it is in fact safe for you to consume. There is still a high likelihood that it lost some of its potency and MAY be ineffective to the point where it could harm your body by not doing it's job all the way, per say. I would recommend contacting your local pharmacy or doctor to assess if the quality of the drug still remains. They may have certain tools, charts, or methods for meas...

I have a vial of B12 with expiration date of 4/2012, is it safe to still use it for injections ## I would of coarse never recommend taking expired "anything", but generally vitamins are still ok to use shortly after their expiration date, and if it's not as potent or effective, at least you'll know why. April was only two months ago, so I doubt that it will have lost much or any of its potency by now. I have some expired Vitamin C powder from Feb. 2012 and it still seems to serve its purpose well today. It may just be me, but I think the expiration date on vitamins isn't as accurate as we're lead to believe. From my perspective I think the quick expiration date on many products is just to get you to buy it more frequently than necessary. I hope my opinion helps! ...

can I use tribedose in my hair as a medicine for falling hair is already expired and I do not want to throw it away ## From what I could gather, Tribedoce is a Vitamin B Complex, comprised of: Vitamin B1 (Thiamine Hydrochloride) Vitamin B12 (Hydroxocobalamin) Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine Hydrochloride) I see no reason why vitamins can't be used to help with hair loss; however it would be good to use your judgement on whether or not the product is still effective based on how long it has been expired for. If short term use still proves useful despite the expiration then by all means give it a go. Reason being is that pharmaceutical companies determine the expiration date for vitamins by putting them through laboratory tests that reveal how long the supplements can last before their potency...
