Hi, My wife's been having a cough from her 8th month of pregnancy. She deliverded on 03 Jul 2013. however the cough continues. Negative on a blood test to see if it is an allergy. Q1 What could be the possible reason & does it take so long to recover from the cough ? She was having Amydramine cough syrup. I feel horribly sick w/cold symptoms & VERY congested I was given this by a friend whom had said she was given the syrup fir VERY similar symptoms. I just don't want to throw myself into withdrawal or have any awful side effects... Plz help & thank you for taking time to help me out... ## If you're only taking these meds a couple of times I wouldn't think that you'd experience any withdrawal symptoms. However there's no guarantee that you won't experience side effects from them, because these drugs can and do effect everyone differently. For me and my child Cyclopam is a life saver. My son suffered severe nausea and vomiting; couldn't retain any liquids or solids.
