I have taken 2 full bottle in a day Corex i find plenty of problems like Eyesight has decreased, cant concentrate, feel exhausted, cant run fast, hands and face shiver whenever i am frightened, feelin guilt plz help me. ## Have you consulted a doctor? Why did you take so much? Corex contains the antihistamine Chlopheniramine and the narcotic Codeine, so the types of problems you are experiencing are to be expected if you take too much of it, in a short period of time. You really do need to consult a doctor to check and see if you have harmed yourself and get proper treatment, if necessary.

cold and cough ## i am taking this liquid syrup for my chest and head cold and would like to know what the medicine that are in the syrup. thanks! ## From what I can find this contains the active ingredients Guaifenesin and Hydrocodone, so it is an expectorant and cough suppressant. The Hydrocodone is a narcotic, so it does have the potential to be habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation. For me and my child Cyclopam is a life saver. My son suffered severe nausea and vomiting; couldn't retain any liquids or solids. We took him to the doctor who prescribed Cyclopam Syrup. 5ML three times - BAM!!! He recovered the next day back to normal. I have not seen any side effects. I tried it on myself and it worked. Well, certain drugs are meant to be taken with precaution with expectations of side effects. There is no medication without having any side effects. Doctor recommends it because it is needed to your medication condition. If you think too much about the side effects, refrain from taking any medications. Try yoga, breathing, Ayurveda medicines but you would not get immediate benefits!!! ## Hi ConTx, Glad to hear you found something that works for you and your child. I...

Does it have an expectorant in it ## Hi Jim, Neither medication is actually in the drug class of expectorants like guaifenesin. However I have seen other brand names of promethazine + codeine (such as "Phenergan Expectorant/Codeine" manufactured by Wyeth) being marketed as an expectorant. So I'm led to believe that promethazine does exhibit such effects regardless of its classification. Hope this helps!

Ipecac Drug Index

Syrup of ipecac (/pkæk/), commonly referred to as ipecac, is a drug that was once widely used as an expectorant (in low doses) and a rapid-acting emetic (in higher doses). It is obtained from the dried rhizome and roots of the ipecacuanha plant (Carapichea ipecacuanha), from which it derives its name. In particular, the rapidly induced forceful vomiting produced by ipecac was considered for many years to be an important front-line treatment for orally ingested poisons. However, subsequen...
