I have been reading all these posts and was blown away by all these people seeking methadone.ok here we go ,I was on 80 mgs going to the clinic every day for 8 years.when your in a opiate fog 8 years go by real fast.One day I did not have my weekly payment(which is all my clinic cared about,never asked how are you)so I decided to detox cold turkey from 80 mgs to nothing. Now I've quit H twice in my life but methadone, nothing can compare to the agony and despair that is methadone withdrawal. I had radiation and chemo for a tumour situated in the anal canal. The treatments caused chronic nerve pain in that area. My doctor prescribed Lyrica. It started with pain under my feet and my hands. Now my whole body, joints and muscles are affected. I get up in the morning and my whole body is stiff with pain. I also experience blurry vision, memory loss and cannot carry a simple conversation. I have gained 30plds. My Doctor now has diagnosed me fibromalgia and osteo arthritis due to the trauma of my cancer treatments. He continually shrugs it off that its not due to the Lyrica. I want to know if anyone is living with someone, anyone like me: I have a husband who have been on Prednisone for over 6 months due to an undiagnosed breathing condition. It helps him breath so we are thankful for that, but that's IT! Now the new Dr. has him tapering down, per my request, thank goodness. Meanwhile, I still live in hell. I don't know my husband anymore. His personality is gone, his sense of humor gone. What I do have is: constant anger over nothing, anything, fights with me over the stupid things in life that makes every day a living hell. I've taken this medication on and off for years. New endo- thought we should try again, despite my very educated disapproval. Switched from armour to levo-112mcg and cytomel (t3) -5mcg. I almost forgot what it felt like to be so ill. It's only been a week, but it's been horrific. Heartburn, cramps, nausea, painful bloating, night sweats (let me rephrase, more like night swimming.) And yes, more acne. At almost 40, I look like a 15 yr. old pubescent boy. Charming. This is morning sicknesses and intestinal flu all wrapped up in a pretty pink pill. I have suffered for a long, long time the Evil, Painful, MIGRAINES. Back in the day, I was taken to the hospital to get a Demerol Shot. They don't use Demerol any more. as years went on I was taken to the hospital with migraine and was given some kind of medicine for my nausa, and my Migraine. I never stayed awake long enough to find out. Found out it was morphine. We move through the years and I've been Mexico where I had a Huge Migrain. My daring Husband ventured forth to find a Medication, in a strange country, only English language. He's my hero :) he came back with something called Neo-Melubrina (Metamizol sodico) suppositories. I take Suboxone for fear of ever being back on the evil Methadone and it's working wonderfully. I live in FL, and Florida has a "Darth Vader-like", evil governor, Rick Scott, who is intruding into every aspect of our lives, including medically and pharmaceutically. I know patients, such as injured ex-war veterans, who really need these medications. avoid these pills at all costs, give you cold sweats, cant sleep and evil headache that makes you want to blow your own brains out. just say no to these pills! ## Your warning to others is greatly appreciated, however, there are many white, diamond shaped tablets on the market. Since the shape and color actually means nothing, this means that you could scare someone away from taking a much needed and life-sustaining medication. My family needs help with our mom. She seems to get violent & nasty & downright evil after her Remicade treatments. Please, could anybody tell me if this is a side effect & what could we do. i found a little bottle with asian lettering on it, a yellow "120" being most prominently displayed amongst the letters. it also says "evil root" on the label. lol. I'm 13 days in withdrawal from Suboxone. I was on 8 mg for almost 2 years after abusing Vic/Perc for a little over year. I was never supposed to be put on this evil s*** and it's caused me to lose everything. I'm currently living in my girlfriends 2 bedroom house with her two kids. I was on 75mcg since about March of 2013 for a comp injury. It was a game changer b/c it allowed me to walk again, pain free. But, in the end it became a necessary evil. Drs wouldn't touch me b/c I was on it. No pain control after surgeries, etc. I've wanted off of it for some time and finally started a taper a few months back under the supervision of a pharmacist and doctor. The plan was to taper me down a little then switch me to the Butrans patch. I suffer from MS and was experiencing a relapse. The advice was to take 5 days methylprednisolene. After first dose my face started puffing up and became bright red. Continued as I had had been having so much back pain and other MS symptoms. Thought that this was the lesser of 2 evils and would persevere. The course finished on Friday.
