I started taking this a week ago. Since I have been taking it in the mornings, I have been tired, no energy and my legs hurt, can not concentrate or be able to think. I changed to the nights and I sleep really hard and by noon I am ready to sleep again, I am starting to get headaches and my legs still hurt. But i get tired still at noon, but i am able to think a little better in the morning. I had a hysterectomy almost a yr ago and we are still trying to find something to help me. I just had my script refilled and my estrogen tabs are now green with 149 and what looks lije an upside down u. These are not the same pills I have taken in the past. I am wondering why. So I took Estratest and it worked fast and well for many years. In 2004 the doctor said I should get off it, so I did. I have been informed that EEST HS is now a CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE !! I have been taking this med for several years as hormone replacement therapy. Now, my prescription plan has changed my expiration date from 1 year to 6 months, and I have to contact my physician for a triplicate controlled substance prescription which must be mailed in and cannot be faxed in. If I were to suggest anything that would help counteract this, my first thought would be to stay on top of your eating habits. Incorporating a low fat diet would be ideal in my opinion. If weight gain and larger breast are common why would my doctor give me this when I complained about my weight gain? The last thing I want is to gain even more weight. I was told I've gained the weight because my body is craving the estrogen. ## Because what they list as common side effects are still only experienced by a very small percentage of the people that have taken it.
