How to get off this tablets ## Hi Fiona, Usually for drugs like this the safest way to stop taking them is to tapper off them, if possible. Some medications can be taken in fractions (actually cut into pieces) and these smaller pieces can be taken in place of the regular dose for a period of several weeks until the body is no longer dependent upon them. In that regard, it may be beneficial to set up a calender schedule to track the weeks when you taper down and any progress you make in between. I hope this advice helps!

What is the proper way to get off Escialopram 10MG after taking it for 3 weeks? I am 81 years old. ## There really shouldn't be any major difficulties if you've only been taking it for 3 weeks and at such a low dosage. Maybe some minor withdrawal symptoms, but that's about it. Do you drink a lot of alcohol? Are you on any medications? Do you get heartburn a lot? Any one of those, plus many other options, could be a factor in what may be causing the problem.

As I'm single I can't comment on any issues with Libido, something that it definitely affected by Zoloft, but I can say that it definitely makes it easier to get up each day. I took 80mg brand name Lexapro for several years and it was a great experience. I had no adverse side effects besides it keeping me a bit more on the manic side, but i liked that. Dare i say i felt as close to happy as i ever had. During some difficult financial times my doc suggested i try the much cheaper Celexa (citalopram) which he claimed was absolutely interchangeable with Lexapro. It wasn't. It didn't do a godamn thing for me. I gave it a couple months then asked for my Lexapro back, but again decided to go the cheaper route and get the generic. What a nightmare! I have been on Escitalopram 20mg for a little over a year. Now I am tapering off. Cut back to 10mg. My entire body is in pain. I have extreme headaches. I am nauseous and have very little appetite. I have been on Excitalopram for about a little over a year. I was feeling tired but I could not sleep at nights or take napes because my mind was thinking and thinking and i was restless and I could not stop shacking my legs because of the restlessness. All this even though I was exercising 5 days a week. I thought I was over doing it but then I took a break for two weeks and it did not help.
