Erectile dysfunction (ED) is sexual dysfunction characterized by the inability to develop or maintain an erection of the penis during sexual performance.[1] A penile erection is the hydraulic effect of blood entering and being retained in sponge-like bodies within the penis. Erectile dysfunction is indicated when an erection is difficult to produce. There are vario...

I am a male 67. I take glycomet 850 twice a day. I am type 2 from past 28 years. Dosage increased from 250 to 850 over a period of time. I am having erectile dysfunction from past 3 years. Now it is total. I need help to over come this. ## Actually, the erectile dysfunction is most likely due to the diabetes and not the medication you take to treat it. Diabetes is very well known to cause it and many men end up needing treatment for it. Have you informed your doctor? What are your usual blood sugar readings? Do you watch your diet to minimize your sugar and fat intake? The typical side effects of Glycomet, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, stomach pain, flatulence and hypoglycemia. ## It can also be due to stress or can be several reason behind it and unfortu...

I am on warfrin and purgoxin, & my heart specialist said I can use viagra, but it's too expensive. Is there any other medication I can use? ## Do you have prescription coverage? It looks like Cialis, which contains the active ingredient Tadalafil, is about a third of the price of Viagra and, in theory, you should be able to take it, since it is in the same class of medications. However, you should consult your doctor and ask them about it, to be certain. ## Tadalis is good generic cialis which you can use instead of viagra. You can get a prescription for tadalis which is very cheap and easily available. ## In case you are searching for a pharmacy that carries tadalis, before that, view all information on side effects, dosage, etc, just to play it safe. ## Example of Pills of Ere...

I was on Accutane for 27 days. I had to stop because of muscle weakness and erectile dysfunction. It has been a month now since I stopped taking it but seems like the erectile dysfunction and muscle weakness are not going away. I would like to ask is there anyone who has experienced the same symptoms and recovered later? ## Accutane has been known to lower testosterone levels in some people that take it, and it been suggested that this should be added to the expected side effects list. Ref: Isotretinoin Risk of Coital Side Effects That said, after a month, three would usually be some improvement. What has your doctor advised? Are you on any other medications?

Hi , My boyfriend 33 is taking metaprolol, he is experiencing hard time with ED, we have narrowed it down to blaming the meds, What should we do, he had open heart murmurs and we are afraid to just stop it ## Hello, Zee! How are you? Yes, it could be due to the Metoprolol, most of the blood pressure/cardiac medications can cause ER, along with nausea, dizziness, headache and stomach pain. However, no he can't just stop it, cold turkey. Doing so could cause a rebound effect that may put his life in danger. He will need to see his doctor to replace it with a different medication. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I too getting ED since day one I started on this medication. How can I recover from this problem? ## Hello, Ajay! I have been on Coumadin for 6 months after switching from lousy Eliquis. Shortly after the switch my problems with Eliquis disappeared, but I did notice signs of ED. Never experienced this previously.....always good here. Has anyone experienced issues of this nature with Coumadin? Otherwise, I feel much better on the Coumadin. ## The FDA doesn't list that as being a normal side effect of this medication, they are typically listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, easy bruising, and increased risk of bleeding. However, there really is no way to be sure how any given medication will affect anyone that takes it. You can find more information on this medication by clicking on this NDC code: 0056-0189 ## What are the markings on the tablets you are taking? This informati...

It’s a great medication. Thus far I have lost 20 pounds with ease along with my normal cardio routine; I’m experiencing the possible non life threatening side effects. However there is a side effect that is not listed which I’m experiencing since starting the dosage regimen to 10mg: erectile dysfunction. 2 other men I met via pharmacy told me that they are also affected & ED medication does not have any effect. We all know that it’s a 1x per week dosage so I put it through the test I had gone 9 days without the injection & I started to feel my ability returning. Needless to say the medication starts to weaken in your metabolism by the 10th day I was functioning normal again, however I would not recommend missing a dosage date. I’m back on my dosage ...

I use the following on a regular basis: Co-irbewin, half tablet of the 300 mg tablet daily 4 to 6 tabs Lenapain daily (containing codeine) Xarelto 20 mg daily. 2x 30 mg Legalon daily 20 mg Topzole daily Can you advise on ED which is getting worse and even Dynafil 100 mg does not help any more? Are any of the above drugs likely to be the cause ? ## Hello, Johan! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem you're experiencing. My best guess would be the Co-Irbewin, most blood pressure/cardiac medications like this are well known for causing ED, as reported by the U.S. FDA, it's due to the way the act on circulation to help the heart or lower blood pressure. Other side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and increased urination. It might be best to ask yo...

are there any erectile dysfunction pills which are small, pink, and have a line across the middle ## Hi, Carol! Are there any markings on the tablet? If not, we can rule it out as being a U.S. prescription ED medication, because they all have imprints on them, as required by law to enable their identification…and there aren't any here that are available over the counter. They all require a doctor's prescription. ## I am a diabetic patient. Could I take sildenafil tablets IP 100 mg? l am 56 years old and experiencing signs of ED. Please help me.

Can taking Percocet cause temp.erectile dysfunction ## Hello, Doris! How are you? Yes, it can, but usually only with long-term use. Most narcotics can, due to their mechanism of action in the body. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. However, whomever suffered such a problem should consult their doctor to be sure of what's going on. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thank you for your input. My husband has been on the percocet for the last 3 months prior to surgery who h he has just had 10 days ago and is still on it post op ## Yes and no. Percocet caused me to have trouble climaxing, but no trouble with ED.

Best injectable drug for ED? I am a 59 years old. I've tried Viagra but wasn't real satisfied with results. Would like to try an injectable treatment. Have a friend who has had good results. Recommend a medication please. ## Hello, Bo! How are you? Tablets are usually the preferred formulation used and there are others that you can try, such as Cialis. It works for many men that didn't get good results from Viagra. It contains the active ingredient Tadalafil and carries the risk of causing similar side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, stuffy nose and blurry vision. Medicines taken since 1 wk :Lupin's Katadol Caps 1-0-1; Rejoint Tablets 1-0-1; Nervmax Capsules 0-0-1; & Uprise-D3. Plz let me know NOW by e-mail which medicine needs to be stopped so as to avoid decrease in libido & erectile dysfunction. Thanks.. ## You absolutely MUST talk to your doctor first ! He/she is the best resource for this type of problem. If you dont trust your doctor to be truthful with you - find a doctor you trust. We are strangers here, we do not know your specific history, but I do know that you are correct. I am a woman and some of those medications affected me the same way, it was very disheartening as well, but you must work with your MD , don't just stop taking them - that alone could kill you. then you'll never have to worry about ED ever again

I have been told that Korean Ginseng and Ginkgo are both good for Erectile Dysfunction. I cannot find a proper dosage listed on any sites. I would appreciate any information I can get and any other recommended herbal or natural remedy for erectile Dysfunction. I am always in the mood but my body part only gets 40 to 50 percent erect. Thanks so much ## Hello, Sarge! How are you? There are all kinds of claims made about these and most other herbal supplements, but they aren't actually proven to help with anything, which is they they are just classified by the FDA as supplements. Have you consulted your doctor for assistance? Many cases of ED are easily treatable, though I do understand that it can be embarrassing to talk to your doctor about. Are you on any other medications?

Hi, I am 37 years old male. I took 120 mg of pseudoephrine every 12 hours for 4 days only to treat nasal congestion. I felt a complete erectile dysfunction for the first time in my life from the second day. I was in panic and I stopped the drug the forth day fearing that it might cause long time ED. I would like to ask whether it is only temporary ED as a side effect of the drug? Thank you.

Can you please suggest alternative medication to Metoprolol Succinate ER + Amlodipine 50/5 mg [taken for High Blood Pressure] that does not cause erectile dysfunction? ## All medications that are used to treat hypertension and cardiac conditions risk causing erectile dysfunction as a side effect, it's just due to the nature of how they work on the cardiovascular system. So, unfortunately, there isn't any particular drug that can be recommended. What you really have to do is work with your doctor to find what works for you, while causing the least amount of problematic side effects. I understand that it's very frustrating, I am very sensitive to medications myself and it took months before we found some medications that worked for me, without making me miserable. Here's a...

Erectile dysfunction is not listed as a side effect but has anyone noted an effect in this area? ## Yes I have, I take Viagra when we get at it now. I take 2700 mg of Gabapentin a day for Multiple Sclerosis. It might also be caused by the MS alone. I find Viagra to be hard on the system not just the sausage. ## Actually the FDA does list impotence as being a possible side effect of Gabapentin, along with nausea, mood changes, weight changes, anemia, and back pain. How are you doing, now? Has there been any change? If this is a severe problem for you, you might need to speak to your doctor to discuss trying a different medication, as this might not be the right one for you to take.
