I've been stabilized for three years after 20 years of therapy, interventional therapy, MRI;s and surgeries on my back, leaving me with piriformis spasms and back pain. On top, I had a cardiac arrest due to a medical error. I have to be careful of what I take due to this. I have looked high and low, either they are no longer taking pain patients or want to start injections all over again! Hello, I was given Hysingla ER 30 mg once a day for pain but it only lasts 10 hours. Is this typical of this medication or is it a medication that needs to build up in you system over time? For instance, if you were going to your regular doctor and received a prescription for 10mg Oxycodone tablets, then also went to another doctor and got another prescription for the same thing, it would be considered doctor hopping and is illegal. However, if you were prescribed something by your regular doctor and went to the ER due to some problem and received a prescription for something else, to make you comfortable, until you can see your doctor, then that wouldn't be. I was just prescribed this medicine and do not feel very comfortable taking it. I would like to know if any one has tried this drug and how did it work. I was previously on oxycontin and the Dr. just changed me to this. I am currently on Opana ER 20mg twice daily, but with not much pain relief. Would a prescription of 30mg twice daily OR 20mg three times a day be reasonable? I have been in significant pain for a long time and want to get something that would make the pain more bearable. ## It really depends on you. I have been having hip joint pain for many years. After I started taking Viberzi 100 mg twice a day within a couple of days my hip pain increased from a bearable 5 on the 0-10 pain scale to a 9 which would wake me up in the middle of the night and my normal dose of my narcotic pain medications would not touch it so I had to take a whole day worth of pain medications just to bring it down to like 6/7. I take Opana ER 20 mg and Percocet 10/325 (3 tablets a day). I normally take 1 Opana ER an hour before bed and one when I get up in the morning and all three Percocet around 2:00 pm. Before taking Viberzi that was enough to control my hip pain and other pain to a certain extent but my pain wasn't under enough control. So my doctor increased the Opana ER to 30 mg. I started taking isosorbide man er 30 mg on a Sunday, I developed what I thought was a bad bug really high fever and diarrhea. I got a little better. I even called the Dr. He said discontinue for one day and see if there was a difference. I did and didn't notice any . I got better and then about 4 days later developed severe abdominal pain and fever again. I'm being treated for diverticulitis, but waiting for a CT to confirm this. Had afib since 2006. Had a cardiac ablation 1 week ago. Dr put me 50mg of flecainide a day. 5 days later started severe lower back pain and severe lower a dominant pain. So bad today I had to be taken to ER in ambulance. Blood work and CT scan were normal. Heart rate was 160 in ambulance. Was released and told the pain is muscle skeletal issue. Still in lots of pain. I suffer from brittle bone, DJD, colitis, only to mention a few. I was taking Hydrocodone 10/325 every 4 hours for approximately 16 years. I noticed over the past few years my pain was no longer controlled and I was taking the med to only not have withdraw symptoms and was tired of the cycle. It took a lot but I admitted my problem to my Doctor and he started me on Hyslinga ER 20mg every 12 hours. I have to say this drug is wonderful for me except the stomach pain. I took my first Fosamax on Friday with no ill effects that day. Whe I woke up on Saturday morning I was having some pain in my right arm and my whole back. These pains gradually became worse as the day went on. Sleeping was very difficult and slept in spurts, waking everytime I moved. Took xarelto for 3 months after broken ankle and subsequent blood clot in calf.
