Individual B vitamin supplements are referred to by the specific number or name of each vitamin, su...

Can anybody recommend a generic substitute for Endocet? There are so many out there that don’t have the same effect. I played this game six years ago and found Endocet, now they just took it away from me. What generic is equivalent? ## I am very sorry about what you're experiencing. As to Endocet, it contains the active ingredients Oxycodone, and Acetaminophen, so any generic that contains them in your prescribed dosage would be considered equivalent, however, since we are all different, they may not all work well for you. Ref: Endocet Information The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Is it that your pharmacy is no longer carrying the one you were...

Is this drug in the family of drugs with cymbalta or could it be substituted for cymbalta ## Hello, Larry! How are you? Did you mean Duloxetine? That is the active ingredient in Cymbalta, so its what the generics would be called. The FDA classifies this medication as an SSNRI antidepressant. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hi, I stay in the US. I have used the tablet wikoryl and it workd best for me. I want to know the exact US equivalent of the tablet. I am giving the composition. 1) Paracetemol 500mg 2)Phenylpherine 5 3) Caffeine : 16mg 4) Chlorophenireamine Maleate: 2 mg ## There are several different formulations available in the US that carry these ingredients, over the counter. Both name brand and generics or store brands. The main issue, however, will be finding all 4 of them. The FDA doesn't tend to like the combining of Phenylephrine with Caffeine, since they can both have similar effects on the human body. Such as raising blood pressure and accelerating the heart rate. If you look on this page, you'll see a list of many different products available: However, they don't include the ca...

I am new in US about 3 weeks from India. I have headache and not able to sleep. I used to take Nicip Plus in India. Nicip Plus is listed as containing Paracetamol and Nimesulide, it is most commonly used to relived pain and swelling. Its typical side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. I'm sorry, there is no over the counter equivalent available here. I recently, had my med changed from vicodin 7.5mg 5xqd to lortab 10-500mg tablet. 5xqd question is, "Is the lortab a higher dose of medication than the vicodin. ## Lortab and Vicodin both contain Hydrocodone, a synthetic opiate or opioid, as their narcotic analgesic. As such, your dosage strength increase is only in the amount of pills you are now taking, not in the opioid ingredient. Oxycodone, used in Percocets and OxyContin, is slightly stronger . . . a 5/325 Perc is equivalent to a 7.5 Lortab. I am not gonna go into the added NSAIDs like THVQEDylenol, ASAP, or aspirin on this question. The best of luck and the least of pain to you . . . Q ## Vicodin and Lortab both contain Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, so you were taking 7.5mgs of the Hydrocodone and your dosage has been raised...

I was prescribed 10 mg Opana when my dr changed my 60 mg morphine to reduce the mg quantity due to the Narcotics and Controlled Substance bs. the pharmacist said it was equivalent as far as the dosage and ability to control the pain. I took a whole one due to not being able to break it and feel there is no comparison. Is this something that gets better the more you take it? ## It actually takes 20mgs of Opana to equal each 60mgs of Morphine. So, that may be why you're not getting as much relief. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Have you informed your doctor that this dose isn't helping your pain?

Medicines I am taking are : Deplatt CV 20 (1 tab daily), Monotrate OD 50 (1 tab daily), Valzaar 80 (2 tabs daily), Nebicard 10 (1 tab daily), Flavedon MR 35 mg (2 tabs daily); for prostrate problem, I am taking Urimax 0.4 (1 tab daily); for arthritis, I am taking Folitrax 7.5 (1 tab weekly). Along with these I am taking Cobadex Czs (1 tab daily) and Folvite 5 (1 tab daily). Is Folvite 5 necessary? I understand Cobadex Czs also has 'Folic acid'. Is any of these medicines superfluous? Can anyone tell me what the US equivalent to Enantyum would be. I had dental surgery in Guatemala and was given 25mg tablets but running out. I'm hoping not to need them but want to keep my options open. ## Hi Jackie, Based on my research, Enantyum contains Dexketoprofen. I've read that ketoprofen would most likely be the equivalent in US. Ketoprofen is in a group of drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Ketoprofen works by reducing hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body. I am currently taking three 20mg oxycontin a day. Due to insurance reasons the Dr wants to switch me to dilaudid or morphine er. Given the choice, which one gives better pain relief and at what dose would be the equivalent to my 60 mg of oxy which is not currently controlling the pain? Thank you. ## Dilaudid is the more potent of the 2, so you'd have to take less of it to be equal to your current dose or Oxycodone or to raise it for more pain relief. According to NIH tables, it would only take 7.5mgs of it to equal each 20mgs of Oxycodone. The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.
