Hi, My mother is 57. She had been diagnosed for breast cancer in Nov 2009. Right breast removed. Now, very recently 40 days ago, she developed brain metastases. She underwent WBRT and is being prescribed Decdac and Eptoin. Doctor suggested to take Eptoin 100 , all 3 tables together at night. With this she stays stable for close to 18 hours and then again starts getting angry and irritated and forgets many things. Since the effect is for 18 hours, it becomes difficult to give her medicines after exactly 17-18 hours. My question is if I can give her 2 tables twice daily after 12 hours. Would this be effective. dias365t again, With regard to Eptoin 100mg, I have now further found out from certain people,that Eptoin100 can also have side effects such as numbness in toes,and fingers too,when used for v.long periods.Yet, this drug becomes one of the best drugs to control Epilepsy.So if you feel these symptoms, please contact your Doctor soon,inform him, & he will definitely find you an alternative.Furthremore, thinning of fingers too have also been recorded,yet is it Eptoin only that should be blamed? is still a Question.Wish you all quick recovery.God bless you all. ## I took eptoin 100mg (twice for 3 years) and now taking 100mg once at night. I am 70 and have been taking Eptoin 100mg and Tegretol 100mg ai bed time since 1976. Recentlly I checked my blood for lever enzymes. SGOT 197 SGPT 213 GGTP(kinetic) 91 Alpkaline Phosphate 130 Should I reduce or stop these medication. ## I am in India. I was asked to take these 2 after I suffered from fits immediately after my heart surgery in 1975. I have no fits for the last 16 years. Some suggested that I may not need these now as I have over come the fits. Recently I had echogram done for the heart along with specific blood test when the excess lever enzmes were deteted.

why only eptoin 100mg tablet is adviced for fits ? My age 23 years, male, 6 events since 2003 frequency now after every 6 months. all reports are normal as EEG , CT SCAN OF BRAIN ETC. My father had high fever and siezures occur once. Necessary test were done and doctor says there was slight inflamation of the brain and nothing to worry and was prescribe eptoin 100mg. Meanwhile half way through, parents happen to approach another doctor and was prescribe levepsy 250 alongwith elfolin 7.5. Now after started taking the combination of above medication, my father is having hard time with constant headache, vomit, slight lose of sense with leg movement, unable to communicate properly. It is 4 months by now and condition getting worse with side effect. There is no family history of epilepsy. Is the medication combination correct and what needs to be done?

My wife now aged 65, was operated for brain haemorrhage on 1st May 2016, slightly more than 1 year ago. The brain haemorrhage had started after she had accidentally hit the water tap in the bathroom, when getting up from cleaning the floor. After severe headache indicated something very serious, she was examined and operated in Fortis Hospital, Kalyan, India. The operation has been a success. Presently, she takes one tab of Eptoin 100 in the morning, after breakfast and one tab in the night after dinner. No other medicines except one tab of multivitamin tablet ' Becosule ' at night. WHAT ARE THE EFFECTS FOR OVER DOS OF EPTOIN 100MG? ## I am taking anti seizers treatment since Jan 2001,starting with 3 Tab Eptoin 100 each daily (1-1-1)lateron 1 Tab of 300mg at night for treatment of the 3 very small episodes of epillepsy before treatment.Since treatment last 12 years I have no complains of seizers again but feel some increase in anger and nervousness with increase in blood sugar level since 4 years and being treated with Amyrl and metformine. Kindly advise that anti seizer treatment should be continue or stop after 12 years.

My brother has been taken eptoin 100mg for more than 4 years till date with 2 doses a day and at present he is complaining of backaches and pain in the right leg which he cannot move and sometimes he is having breathing problem and weak. He could not sleep every night but slept around 2-3 Am morning till 11:00 Am, along with eptoin 100mg, the doctor advised him to take Dicorate 500mg and lobazam-0.5 which he is taken regularly. Hello, I've been diagnosed with Herpes Z and have been on Eptoin for epilepsy for the past 20 years. Recently, I was prescribed Gabaneuron 300mg to be taken nightly. I'm already taking 100mg of Eptoin thrice daily. Can I take Gabaneuron along with my existing medications? Are there any potential side effects?
