The marketing of Enzyte resulted in a conviction and prison term for the company's owner and bankruptcy of the company. The product is now marketed by Vianda, LLC of Cincinnati, Ohio. The manufacturer has claimed that Enzyte promotes "natural male enhancement," which is a euphemism for enhancing erectile function. However, its effectiveness has been called into doubt and the claims of the ma...

i had to stop taking methotrexate over 8 weeks ago as my enzym levels went up, they are still rising hospital dont know why, i,m due to go for a scan, has anyone any ideas why this is still happening ? ## Which enzymes have gone up? There are many different ones in your body that they may be checking. Are you referring to liver enzymes? They can raise upon occasion without it really meaning anything dangerous, because many medications are processed through the liver and it may just need a break or support for a bit to get back to normal. ## thank you, yes it is 3 liver enzymes that had gone up, i had some good news this week, 2 of them have started to go down. still waiting for scan

Co-Enzyme Q10, Ubiquinone Drug Index

Coenzyme Q, also known as ubiquinone, is a coenzyme family that is ubiquitous in animals and most bacteria (hence the name ubiquinone). In humans, the most common form is coenzyme Q10 or ubiquinone-10. CoQ10 is not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of any medical condition;[1] however, it is sold as a dietary supplement and is an ingredient in some cosmetics.[2][3] It is a 1,4-benzoquinone, where Q refers ...

Has anyone any info on this product=KurZyme? Is it worth the money if it's necsessary to continue to take everyday for the rest of your life? I would like to know where to find the best deal if I get feedback that it IS a good product and that people are truly getting well, esp. after years of chronic pain...thanks for your help and prayers if you are so inclined to pray for me and my condition and situation. God bless all... ## This is an over the counter supplement, thus it is touted to help with many conditions, but not proven. It contains Protease (an enzyme), Bromelain (from pineapples) and Papain. (from Papaya) There is no proof that these help with anything, they are also not tested for side effects, interactions with other drugs and etc. If you're having a health problem...

Is Co-enzyme Q10 safe to take with ginko bilboa, with thiamine mononitrate as a 0.17mg supplement in the co-enzyme Q10 ## Hello, Heathsub! How are you? I'm sorry, but supplements are not evaluated for interactions and side effects, so such information isn't available. Theoretically, they should be safe, but it is always best to check with your physician to be sure. Do you take any medications? Do you have any medical conditions?

I have been feeling a lot of bloating, gas/acid reflux. Not really sure if it has something to do with my diet. I used the eat the usual food I take healthy and fast food. Then one day, the stomach attack I experienced was not bearable so I had to go to my gastroenterologist. I was given PPI's to somehow help with the pain and was advised that if I still feel something after taking it for a week, I'll be scheduled for a colonoscopy. I was also told to have a strict diet. So to make the long story short, everything went well after a week so I when I gave my doctor another visit, luckily I didn't go through colonoscopy. Was given the same advise but this time without PPI's. I was also advised to take enzymes. I'm taking digestive enzymes from Natural Goal for about a mont

I take lanzoprasol for reflix, but enzyprime is providing digestive relief. Is there any adverse effect of taking both medicines? ## From what I can find, Enzypride just contains enzymes that aid in digestion, so there shouldn't be any problems, unless your doctor has told you not to use them together. I'd suggest double checking with your doctor or a pharmacist first, since they may be aware of interactions between them that aren't listed in the databases. Are there any other questions or concerns?

Are digestive enzymes safe for liver toxicity? I read that pancreatic enzyme is toxic to the liver. I took some and did not see a difference until I took digestive enzymes by Dr Matthew. It works and relieves my stomach pain and helps digestion but causes a little fever. I try not to take digestive enzymes often as I heard that it reduces the ability to digest on my own. Anyways, I wonder if digestive enzymes are safe for the liver?

This may be a value for an enzyme. I have a cancer report from a cancer Society which describes a microbe which invades the cells, they have not figured out how but it builds a protein wall around itself to hide from oxygen and the immune system. Proteolytic enzymes break up scar tissue made from protein. certain veggies have proteolytic enzymes. This would reveal the cell to be attacked! There are many veggies, Broccoli, tumeric/curcumin, Kiwi, etc., which display this quality. I personally make CDS and have treated people. My last had bone cancer and was cleared after 2 months by his Oncologist. So sensible eating! Also cancer is a bi-product of drugs and Dysbiosis - google it. I suggest this is the BIGGEST health problem in the world!!

I have major depression, which is only one out of 4 Mental Health diagnoses I have that disabled me since 1985. The major depression is resistant to treatment. I have been on so many combinations of anti-depressant, anti-psychotic and mood stabilizers that my Psychiatrists in the past and the one I go to now, did not know what to do. About 5 years ago, as a last resort, I was put on Provigil as a way to help me get motivated and not be depresses. I now take high doses of Modafinil, and my AST blood level for my liver is 40 (should be 10-35, and my ALT is 134 (should be 6-40. My Psychiatrist, PCP, and I have agreed that in my case, where I could do nothing for myself, had countless suicide attempts, and hardly ever got out of bed, quality of life is a priority--not quantity of life. I wa...

How long can Methotrexate keep your liver enzymes elevated? ## My doctor monitors my liver enzymes carefully. If we see a rise, we cut back on the methotrexate. I would rather have some pain, etc. from an autoimmune disease, than have problems with my liver. Liver damage is irreversible. ## While Methotrexate has been known to cause elevated liver enzymes, it has also been known to cause permanent liver damage in some people that take it, including fatty liver, fibrosis, and cirrhosis. Ref: Methotrexate Information What has your doctor advised? How high were they? Are you on any other medications?

I was on amoxicillin for 12 days and then I took my last dose in the morning before I went to take a routine blood work and the Dr got the results on Wednesday and he said my enzymes were high in my liver which totally alarmed me. He sent me in for an ultrasound and everything looked normal! Can this antibiotic cause high liver enzymes? And how long does this antibiotic remain in your system? I stopped my last dose on Tuesday of this week. ## Your liver enzymes may be raised any time you are sick, it is your liver that does the most work detoxifying the body, and removing bacteria, or viruses, according to NIH reports. If things were normal via the ultrasound and no other abnormalities have been found, there is not likely a problem. But I am not a doctor, so I can only tell you what cur...

Having surgery in near future, but liver enzymes are high, should this medication be ruled out? what are my options? Should i postpone this surgery? I found this problem out after surgery was scheduled. ## Dilaudid (hydromorphone) is metabolized (broken down) by the liver, but I haven't come across any clear congruent information stating whether or not it causes liver damage or potentiates an existing condition like that which you mentioned. According to the prescribing information for Dilaudid, people with moderate liver impairment should be started at a low dose and monitored carefully while the dose is being adjusted. For more specific information though, I would suggest consulting with your doctor, surgeon, and/or pharmacist for guidance based on your health status and current m...

Qwo Collagenase Clostridium Histolyticum-aaes

Collagenases are enzymes that break the peptide bonds in collagen. They assist in destroying extracellular structures in the pathogenesis of bacteria such as Clostridium. They are considered a virulence factor, facilitating the spread of gas gangrene. They normally target the connective tissue in muscle cells and other body organs.[1] Collagen, a key component of the animal extracellular matrix, is made through cleavage of pro-collagen by collagenase once it has been secret...

PLEASE SUGGEST SOME ONE THAT REVOZYME FORTE CAN BE TAKEN AS ANTIOXIDANT ## Revozyme Forte Contains: Trypsin (96 mg) + Bromelain (180 mg) + Rutoside Trihydrate (200 mg) in each enteric coated tablet The answer to your question is no. I wouldn't call this an antioxidant supplement at all. It is just a digestive enzyme supplement based on the ingredients. To be honest you would get more (antioxidant and enzymatic) benefits from eating a couple pieces of fruit each day rather than taking this. Not to say that this isn't a decent product. But for what it does, there are certainly better options out there than this. A couple of these extracted ingredients come from whole fruit. I would recommend eating whole papaya and pineapple to reap the benefits of the these specific enzymes and t...

Hi, I am taking 500 mg/2x daily of Divalproex Sod ER (Depakote) for Bipolar 1. It works very well. However, my ALT is 76 and my AST is 59. I am not sure that these higher than normal liver enzyme test results are bad enough to require me to stop taking Depakote. I know there is a wide range of abnormalty. Has anyone had experience with liver enzyme problems? Please, share your experience. Please, don't tell me to ask my doctor. He is a bit unsure of all of this---wishy-washy. ## many doctors that aren't specialists can be confused by such. How long have you been taking the Depakote? The signs that it may cause acute liver injury can manifest like this within the first 6 months of taking it. Thus, if you've been on it 6 months or less, you will most likely need to stop taking...
