Has anyone experienced any side effects while using Aczone and/or Atralin? I've been having some symptoms but I'm not sure if they are drug related or just sinus/cold related. I've been using the topicals for 6 weeks now and last week I began having bone aches/chills, slight fever, tiredness, sore throat, back tightness, and for a couple of days a strong urine smell. Those seem to have subsided but now I have a persistent headache (I never get headaches) and a dry cough. ## Have you talked to your doctor? Since they are both topical formulations, you really shouldn't absorb enough of the relevant medications to cause such severe side effects. This makes me suspect that they were probably more related to the cold/sinus issues. How are the headaches, have they improved any...

I recently had to have surgery to remove a ovary and tube but in the end they removed both oavaries and both tubes. Lovely menopause as soon as I'm discharged. Doctor prescribed Angeliq. I didn't feel bad before taking it just had some major hot flashes I actually felt great. I've been on Angeliq one week and feel like crap! My hands and feet are puffy and swollen, killer headaches and joint pain in my back and legs. Should I give it more time to work? Right now I'm ready to call my doc and say enough. This is gonna get expensive trying to find one that works. Mine is temporary as in 3 months she's going back in to take the uterus and cervix. She didn't during the first surgery because they needed to wait in pathology. Anyone else have these issues with Angeliq? ...

could this medication cause frequent urinal visit to washroom ## Hello, Mar! How are you? Yes, it certainly can. Almost all of the blood pressure/cardiac medications can do so, because of the way they work in the body. You should make sure that you take in enough fluids to prevent dehydration, unless you have been place on fluid restriction by your doctor. Is there anything else I can help with?

SINCE I STARTED TAKING CRBIDIO LEVO, I HAVE GRADUALLY NOTICED JAW TREMORS AND MY OPPOSITE HAND START ING THE SAME SHAKING AS MY RIGHT HAND DOES. IS THIS A SIDE EFFECTFROM THE MEDICATION? ## I have developed jaw tremors too. It is not constant though frequent. Most notable late in the day the tremor seems very undesirable. I'm ugly enough without the movement attracting attention to my face. ## Yes, it has been known to cause tremors as a side effect, according to FDA warnings, along with nausea, dizziness, Anxiety, insomnia, dry mouth, and hypotension. I had a double heart valve replacement in 1999. As such I am a chronic warfarin patient. I recently had a hysterectomy followed by another emergency surgery the following day. I then recouperated at home. 3 weeks ago I had a stroke. The cardiologist said it was caused by the several surgeries and the neurologist prescribed ecotrin as he felt that warfarin was not enough any longer to protect my heart valves. Since taking ecotrin I have a constant head ache, my eyes are swollen all the times, I feel very tired, I feel depressed, I some evenings have stomach ache, initially I lost weight and suddenly I am picking up weight rapidly. I experience dizziness at times and my eyes feel as if something got stuck behind them. I used to run around 48 kilometres a week before the hysterectomy. I as...

My father (post CABG, 65 yrs) has been taking Telma AMH 40 instead of Telma AM 40 (which he took for a year or so post CABG) since last 3 months. Recently he was diagnosed with unexplained loss of electrolytes (hyponatremia, Na was 104 when detected, and corrected till 122). Can this loss be due to the usage of Telma AM or AMH? Rest of his reports are coming normal, so we are not able to diagnose the causative factor. ## Yes, it might be caused by the Telma AMH, which contains the active ingredients Telmisartan, Amlodipine and Hydrocholorothiazide. The Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic that's used to help remove excess fluid from the body, but when taking it, someone has to be careful that they take in enough fluid to balance out the loss, or dehydration and such loss of the electro...

Is it common to gain weight when you're on Co-Pritor? I have picked up 10 kg's since I started with the High blood medication. Your advice and help would be appreciated. ## Co-Pritor contains the active ingredients Telmisartan and Hydrochlorothiazide. From what I've read on each of those individual medications, neither of them list weight gain as a possible side effect. Interestingly enough, "loss of appetite" is listed as a side effect of Hydrochlorothiazide. And from my understanding of nutrition, when you eat a lot less than you're used to having (or not eating every few hours), your metabolism can slow down significantly in response to that. Especially if you're not getting enough exercise on a regular basis either. Have you made any dietary changes or no...

DOES TALWIN GIVE YOU BAD DREAMS ## According to various medical references, hallucinations and unusual thoughts are listed as side effects of Talwin Nx (Pentazocine and Naloxone); and although there is nothing listed in the way of nightmares, I would think that the bad dreams may still be related to how this drug is effecting your body. Whenever I took Vicodin in the past, it's always given me bad dreams that were very realistic to say the least. So I know first hand that many drugs could potentially cause this as a side effect. Is it bad enough to make you want to switch medications?

I am advised by the doctor to take Tonact 10 for high Cholesterol. Now I have been taking it almost for a year. I sometimes feel weak and loose control of nerves. Is this kind of side effect? Should I discontinue? Still my Cholesterol levels are not very encouraging. ## this site is not medical professionals and even if we were, we could not properly advise you on what to do over the internet. That said, Tonact contains the active ingredient Atorvastatin and the side effects you are experiencing are normal for these Statin medications. For some people they are severe enough that they must stop or switch medications or have a dosage adjustment. You can also experience: muscle aches, joint pain and headache. Has anyone experienced swelling of the lower legs and ankles, combined with tingling in the fingers and toes? I'm also experiencing some nausea. My doctor told me to apply the gel to all my lesions, and I am putting in on the tops of my arms, my shoulders and back of my neck, my upper chest, my shins, and some spots on my thighs. Is that too many areas at once? ## After using Efudex and several other creams, gels, etc, and each time developing cellulitis in my lower legs, the dermatologist prescribed Solaraze, saying it was not likely to have the same effect. I was putting it on on my forehead and some other spots on my face. Sure enough, in a few weeks my leg was infected again. I stopped using it. It takes a long time for the infection to clear up even with heavy duty antibiotics....

I have done Forteo, Prolia and now my doctor wants me to do Reclasp. I am 75 years old, haven't had any fractures I am aware of.
